Flashing Repair questions

After some serious rain last week (5inches in 24 hours) we noticed our ceiling leaking through a crack in the plaster near the chimney. (See second photo)

We had someone come take a look (first photo set) and were told our flashing was not adequately installed/sealed when we bought the house.

The estimate we were given (photo three) to remove, inspect, and replace the chimney flashing is $1,200.00.

Our house is a 1940 cape cod and the roof is extremely steep.

I am weighing the pros and cons of accepting this quote and letting the professionals handle it versus trying to DIY fix it.

Any advice or suggestion is welcome.

Got the dress, now I just need help deciding how to accessorize!

We’re having a microwedding (9 guests) in January in a (non-religious) private ceremony in an English gothic chapel. I’m DIYing makeup and hair. This was a trial run of makeup (haven’t decided whether I like the bold red lip or want to go with something a touch more neutral,) and trying my hair up and down with different veils.

I’m quite certain I like the furs (but which?) but I can’t decide which veil/hairstyle I prefer.

Any and all feedback and suggestions welcome!

($7k) so like… what do you actually do during a microwedding?

We’re having something between an elopement and a microwedding in winter — a ceremony only, with our immediate family to witness (9 people,) and photos. (The photos are the main reason we’re doing anything more than paperwork tbh.)

So here’s what I’ve got so far:

3:00pm: arrive at the Chapel, greet photographers, set up, get ready

3:30pm: quick first look, sit for tintype portraits, details photos, couples photos

5:00pm: family arrives, (quick and simple) ceremony

5:30: family photos (?)

6:00: more couples photos, pack up/clean up

7:00: vacate the premises

We weren’t planning on having a reception since it’s literally just an elopement with witnesses but I’m wondering if we should buy a couple bottles of champagne and have a toast after the ceremony or maybe all go out to eat afterwards since there’s only 11 of us?

Any feedback or ideas are appreciated!
