How did Kami become the God of Earth?

Is there any lore covering this? All I know is that Kami was sent to Earth due to a climate disaster on Namek a very long time ago (hundreds of years? thousands?) and eventually wound up as God. But how did he go from stranded orphan to God of Earth?

I get that he has magic powers and whatnot, but nobody on Earth seems to even know about his existence. So is he self-appointed? Not even Namek has a God in the same sense, so how did he get the idea? AFAIK he's just a normal (perhaps exceptionally powerful) Namekian, not actually divine like Shin, so God is more of a title than a descriptor.

I think Popo drops a line about being friends with previous Gods of Earth but I may be misremembering. If this is true then maybe he was recruited for the job, but by who?

Looking for decent casual binoculars - €150 price range

Seeking recommendations for an extremely casual birdwatcher. I mainly look at birds around town and sometimes visit ponds to look at the waterfowl.

My main concern is weight, I recently went on a guided birdwatching tour and they handed us these huge Swarovski binoculars that really did a number on my back after a while. It would be nice if I could get something light and easy to carry, even usable one-handed if that's possible.

Visual clarity and build quality is also important of course. I'm not gonna be using these all the time but naturally I don't want something that will fall apart on me.

Must be available in EU.

Why do so many restaurants only open after 4?

I'm from the US and one thing that still confuses me about this country is the insane business hours of most restaurants. A lot of them are closed two days a week and are only open from 4-10 the rest of the time. How do they stay in business? I can't tell you how many times I've wanted to order out for lunch only to be forced to order out for dinner instead.

This isn't exclusive to restaurants, there are many other small businesses with similarly short hours, with some open for only around 25 hours per week on the low end. Is rent way lower that I think it is or is there something else going on?
