an important message to the men

I know this is an odd one, but this post is for the men.

If you have sisters, build a relationship with them.

Talk to them. Hang out with them. Invite them to your room to play games or watch videos. Go out together. Get some ice cream. Travel together if you can. Just spend time with them.

I rarely see teenagers or young men hanging out with their sisters. It's usually either a group of guys hanging around together or an entire family spending time together. The brother-sister relationship often gets completely neglected.

And honestly, taking your sister out for a walk and some ice cream is probably more enjoyable than going out with your boys for the 941,562nd time just to walk around, smoke, complain about the state of the country, and gossip about girls.

The benefits for both of you are endless.

You'll feel less lonely, you'll socialize more, and you'll simply feel better. If you're religious and want to avoid haram relationships, having a healthy relationship with your sisters can also help relieve some of the loneliness that comes from not interacting with women.

It will also change the way you see women in general. A lot of us, especially in Algeria, grow up with certain traditional beliefs about women. Having a close relationship with your sisters can help break some of those deeply rooted ideas and make you treat women with more understanding and respect.

I also genuinely believe that society as a whole would become much better if men started building stronger relationships with their sisters instead of keeping as much distance from them as possible.

If we started seeing more brothers and sisters spending time together outside, I think we'd see less harassment, more social activity, and a healthier relationship between men and women in general. I honestly think overall happiness and life satisfaction would go up.

It might feel awkward at first. You might feel shy, or you might think you need to protect your "aura" or act serious around them.

Don't.

One day you'll realize you didn't spend enough time with them. As you get older, it becomes harder. Then you get married, they get married, everyone gets busy, and those opportunities become much rarer.

Freelance

the population of algeria has got this wrong idea on freelancing, thinking it's some magic thing where they would open a computer or a laptop click some magic buttons do some magic stuff and get paid in foreign currency for it

whoever is reading this, if you are interested in freelance let me tell you something:

DO NOT pursue freelance unless you have 3-4 years of your life that you can afford to completely waste and have the ability to continue your life normally
DO NOT pursue freelance unless you are comfortable working 2-3 years without making any money or making less than minimum wage
DO NOT pursue freelance if you don't have well enough parents who would be supporting you financially in the awkward phase from the start until you are actually making money

succeeding in freelance is not a given, it's not guaranteed, most people fail at it, those who don't fail at it can end up making the exact same amount of money they would working a regular job, and only a few actually succeed can end up making good money.

And you can spend a lot of time freelancing, becoming successful, then losing your income out of nowhere, this happened to a lot of people because of AI advancing.
you can also spend a lot of time learning freelancing, then finding out that whatever field you entered, is trash, and then you would have to spend that time on something else starting from scratch

on the other side, if you are truly gifted, you might be able to go from 0 to making solid money by freelancing within a year or so, but only a certain amount of people find that type of success.

question for car nerds

Why do mid class and rich people keep on buying and importing expensive diesel cars when it's pretty common that newer diesel engines are unreliable and keep on breaking down and causing issues (euro 6 and adblue and whatever)? why do they not just import cars that run on regular fuel?

I am against youth relationships for this reason

I am against youth relationships mainly because of the financial aspect

If you are a mature old adult, with a job and your thing sorted out, it's totally fine to go pursue relationships because there's a clear goal, you meet people and when you meet the person who suits you, you can get married and live together

But if you are young, no job, still studying and you have an unclear path, you don't know what job you will work, you don't even know if you will even find a job or how much you would make

if you do get in a relationship, what's the clear goal? is it to get married or to just play around? and if it's to get married, when will that happen and how will it happen? you are just riding off fake hopes

and this doesn't concern young people only, well it does consider most of them, but even the broke adults who say girls are gold diggers and girls love money, well if you do meet a girl, how are you planning to sort things out? especially in this economy? are you going to ask her to wait for an undefined period of time for you to find work? and then another undefined period of time for you to save up?

there is a counter argument to if you don't find a partner in your youth it will be more difficult as you age, but while it is true, if you do find a partner in your youth but you don't have a clear path to financial stability and marriage, you are just wasting the woman's time.
