The complete guide to the new Samsung Odyssey gaming monitors. OLED, Fast IPS, 6K, Dual Mode, which one’s right for you?

The complete guide to the new Samsung Odyssey gaming monitors. OLED, Fast IPS, 6K, Dual Mode, which one’s right for you?

Samsung dropped a full slate of new Odyssey monitors this year and the lineup covers a lot of ground. From the industry’s first 6K gaming monitor to new 4K OLED models. Here's a breakdown of every new model so you can figure out which monitor is right for you.

The lineup at a glance

Model Panel Resolution Refresh Rate Response Time (GtG) HDR
32" G80HS Fast IPS 6K 6K@165Hz / 3K@330Hz (Dual Mode) 1ms HDR10+ Gaming
27" G80HF Fast IPS 5K 5K@180Hz / QHD@360Hz (Dual Mode) 1ms HDR10+ Gaming
32" OLED G80SH QD-OLED 4K 240Hz 0.03ms DisplayHDR True Black 500
27" OLED G80SH QD-OLED 4K 240Hz 0.03ms DisplayHDR True Black 400
32" OLED G73SH OLED 4K 4K@165Hz / FHD@330Hz (Dual Mode) 0.03ms DisplayHDR True Black 400

The Hi-Res Pair: G80HS and G80HF

These are for the resolution-first players. The 32" G80HS is the industry’s first 6K gaming monitor. The Dual Mode feature allows you to toggle between 6K@165Hz when you want the full visual experience, or drop to 3K@330Hz when you need pure competitive speed. One monitor, two very different modes depending on what you're playing.

The 27" G80HF does the same trick at 5K@180Hz for detail, QHD@360Hz for reaction-time.

Both displays have Fast IPS panels, 1ms GtG, DP 2.1, HDMI 2.1, a USB hub, and ergonomic stands with height adjust, pivot, tilt, and swivel. HDR10+ Gaming on both.

The OLED flagships: G80SH (27" and 32")

A QD-OLED in 4K at 240Hz with 0.03ms response time. Features include:

  • DP 2.1 & USB-C: DP 2.1 delivers up to 80 gbps of bandwidth for uncompressed visuals while the USB-C port powers your setup with up to 98W.
  • OLED Safeguard+: includes a Pulsating Heat Pipe that diffuses heat 5x faster than a graphite sheet, plus Thermal Modulation, Logo & Taskbar Detection, and Screen Saver.
  • Glare Free Technology: 54% less glossy than conventional anti-reflection film, UL verified. It makes a noticeable difference if you play in a room with natural light.
  • 3-Year Warranty including burn-in coverage.

The value OLED: G73SH (32")

The G73SH is a OLED with Dual Mode at 4K@165Hz or Full HD@330Hz. If you jump between immersive single-player games and competitive multiplayer, this gives you a solid speed option without giving up the OLED panel.

Also included: Pantone Validated, HDR10+ Gaming, DisplayHDR True Black 400, G-Sync Compatible + AMD FreeSync™ Premium Pro. 3-Year Warranty with burn-in coverage.

Which monitor is right for you?

  • Want the highest possible resolution? G80HS (6K) or G80HF (5K)
  • Want OLED + 240Hz + top-tier burn-in protection? G80SH (27" or 32")
  • Want OLED + Dual Mode flexibility (4K detail vs. 330Hz speed)? G73SH

We just added new artwork from Edvard Munch to Samsung Art Store. Are you going for The Scream or something more obscure?

If you have Samsung Art Store, there’s a new collection available from the MUNCH Museum in Oslo and yes, it includes The Scream.

The collection contains masterpieces from the museum’s archives that aren’t regularly displayed, so you can transform your TV into artwork with a solid selection. That said, would you rather display an iconic masterpiece everyone recognizes, or something rarely seen that feels like a hidden gem?

The collection includes 37 works including:

  • The Scream
  • The Dance of Life
  • Melancholy
  • The Sun
  • Garden with Trees
  • Two People at Table

Curious where you’ll land!

[Samsung AMA & Giveaway] I’m Dan, a Samsung National Product Trainer! Curious to learn more about our 2026 Samsung monitor lineup, or which works best for your setup? Well, ask me anything about our new monitors for a chance to win one!

Hey r/Monitors! Dan from Samsung here and I’ll be back on Monday, 6/8 at 1 ET for an AMA on our 2026 monitor lineup. I started out a tech enthusiast. That quickly snowballed into nearly 10 years with Samsung. A decade later, I still get excited about our innovations, so bring whatever questions you’re curious about with our new monitors.

Samsung 2026 Monitor AMA

If you saw our last post, you probably know we just launched next-gen Odyssey, Odyssey OLED, ViewFinity and The Movingstyle Essential monitors (plus some awesome offers if you order before June 9th!) and you might have questions. So, be sure to drop them in advance and I’ll try to get through as many questions as possible during the live session.

P.S. I’ll give my pup Bella extra pets for every upvote.

US Only Giveaway: One lucky Redditor will be chosen at random from the questions submitted in the comments. To keep things fair (and make sure you can ask as many questions as you want), we’ll only be counting the first comment per profile as eligible to win. Entry comments can either be a question for the AMA or a comment letting us know why you’re interested in a Samsung Monitor. The winner be announced June 12^(th). Terms & Conditions apply.

AMA & Guidelines: I’m sure r/Monitors will only ask questions on monitors, but I want to make it clear this AMA is only for monitors and no other Samsung products. If you need personal product support, you can reach out to Samsung Support. Most importantly, we want this to be a good discussion with the community, so please keep all comments respectful. Your diligent r/Monitors mods will be helping to monitor the thread.

The Prize: Experience the innovation of 6K gaming with the 32” Odyssey G8 (G80HS).

Eligibility: Only USA and 18+ participants. Accounts must be at least 48 hours old. This giveaway is operated by Samsung Electronics America.

Hey Reddit! Tim Waldoch here, I’ve been with Samsung for years as a National Product Trainer and have spent more time looking at TV pixels these past weeks than playing with my cats. So, I’m super excited to connect with you all on our TV lineup this year!

If you’ve seen the news lately, you might know we’ve expanded our lineup to offer new models of our Mini LED TVs, Neo QLED TVs, The Frame, The Frame Pro, OLED TVs, and even the cutting-edge Micro RGB! Some of you might be wondering, “which one is right for me? Does the brightness of my living room matter? Which TV should I get to watch my favorite sports?” Well, get your questions in now and come back Wednesday, May 6 at 1PM ET to find out the answer!

The AMA & Guidelines

As this is for our 2026 TV lineup (and you probably already know this) this AMA is for TVs only (and not for our other products or care related questions). If you need personal product support, we won’t be handling that here, but you can reach out to Samsung Support. Lastly, please keep it respectful. While I can’t promise I’ll be able to answer every question, I’ll do my best to get to as many as possible!
