Special Abilities Question.
Do the players spend stress/push themselves to activate special abilities all the time or only when the ability calls for it?

These pictures are from a Call of Cthulhu TTRPG Scenario book. The author says there is no AI in it but I've noticed several "Signs of the Beast" I was hoping for a sanity check!
First Picture: Although not having any visible marks that I can see, this is one of the first pictures and raised by hackles a bit because the character has that big, bug eyed look.
Second and Third Pictures: Second one looks okay but then I zoomed into the screens. Most of them are fine, pulled from actual news programs I think but the two I circled are odd, "Sreaking news" and that car looks very strange. Like it wants to be a sports car and a cybertruck?
Forth: I think the lady's watch is merging into her sleeve?
Fifth: Could just be weird blocking but the man in the background is missing a leg?
Sixth: Back right, weird sausage index finger.

I normally wouldn't really care about this stuff but I don't like AI and I did *pay* for this one under the presumption that there would not be AI in it.
