Alright so my initial plan was to make Mel Bernstein a bodyguard of Ricardo Diaz, but as some people commented that its not accurate to see a Cop around gangsters or goons. So I decided to drop that idea, and made Colonel Juan Cortez looks like Mel Bernstein.
This outfit is inspired from Mel's casual outfit that he wore during the scene with Frank Lopez, just before Manny shoot Lopez and Tony shoot Bernstein in the movie Scarface (1983).

If only I could make him much taller, muscular and wearing a pastel suit like real Frank Lopez from the movie Scarface (1983), I would be even more happy.
If someone make a VC style skin of Diaz with his height increased and wearing a pastel suit (similar to that of Tommy's "Mr. Vercetti" outfit) for me to use in this mod, then I will surely replace this existing model.
I mean putting Diaz's head with working mouth and eyes on Tommy's "Mr. Vercetti" outfit will be enough for me (one "CS" model and one "IG" model), but the problem is that it is NOT possible for me to do.
Of course I will give the creator full credits! 🙏
I always feels like Mercedes' short hair looks kinda similar to that of Elvira from Scarface (1983), so I decided to give Mercedes a more closer resemblance to Elvira.
Fun fact: The blue colour of her dress is taken from an actual photograph of Elvira from the movie.

This is mostly inspired from Miami Vice, have you noticed how darkened the streets were when Crockett & Tubbs in the white Ferrari Testarossa were being chased by the Corvette? And Crockett in his black Ferrari Daytona trying to racing with the Porsche race car?
That is exactly what I tried to implement into this mod, however these darkened nights previously also appeared in my other VC Mod Packs too in the past.

You might've noticed that the Infernus' door handles & hood badge have no textures in the vanilla model, this is mostly likely a mistake happened during the game's development back in the days. But because of this, most of the Infernus models later released by the modding community also have the same issues:
No textures on the door handles & hood badge.
But these issues have been finally fixed by me after years and along with that, all the windows' transparency have also been corrected little bit and now the glasses looks more darker and same as the Banshee & Cheetah.

A big thanks to the author who originally made these tree models (I will give him full credits in the Credits section of the mod), however some of their textures are enhanced by me for a even more refined look.
The new roads are entirely created by me from scratch, they have realistic shadows, optical illusions and a slightly warm look in them which really reflects the 80s Vice City heat.

This is the new gang of Ricardo Diaz, and they're closely based on Omar Suarez and the other guy (who drove the Cadillac) in the iconic "Dishwasher" scene from Scarface.
NOTE that I said Vanilla Style Vehicles and NOT Vanilla Vehicles, which means New Vehicles but in original VC Style. This is kind of similar to the Project Vanilla Reborn mod pack that I released last year Christmas, but this time vehicle models will be different and featured greatly improved textures.
What you see in this pre-release screenshot actually going to appear in the mod pack, so don't think this is just one of those typical mod packs which featured nothing but the same stuff over and over.
ScarVice will be a totally new experience!
Not to be confused with skins created by other authors, these skins are entirely created by me using original game textures as base, and some reference photos of the actual outfits worn by the characters in the movie Scarface (1983).
Sonny Forelli's outfit is inspired from one of the outfits worn by the character Alejandro Sosa in Scarface, Ken Rosenberg's from Omar Suarez and Tommy Vercetti's from of course, Tony Montana.
