Anyone else read Dungeon Crawler Carl?

I recently finished the first book in the DCC series and am obsessed! I desperately want people to talk to about it!

While the book is a really good romp, it's also a fascinating social commentary, tackling topics like capitalism and social media/reality TV.

While there's a very active subreddit for the series, as someone who isn'tvery far into the series, it's really overwhelming and hard to stay away from spoilers, so I'm looking for a place to chat about just the first book.

Dungeon Crawler Carl - Book One Discussion

I recently started the Dungeon Crawler Carl series, and was so excited to come to reddit to discuss, but was overwhelmed by the official sub since I'd only read the first book and that sub discusses the entire series. While yes, people can look specifically at the Book 1: DCC flair, it's still a lot, and sometimes with mistagging etc, you can either miss posts or get accidentally spoiled.

I scoured reddit and didn't see a place to just talk about the first book, so I created one. If anyone is interested in discussing book one in the series, with no discussions of other books, please join!

Very basic question about drills

Hello folks, I'm trying to learn to DIY things, but did not grow up with parents who were handy and never learned the basics, so please be gentle as I learn. I have googled, youtubed and looked in hardware stores, but am still fairly confused as to what exactly I need.

A friend gave me a Bauer brand drill, but no drill bits. I tried to buy bits for the drill, but am overwhelmed by the choices and concerned that I'm going to buy the wrong thing.

I just want basic pieces that fit into the drill so I can screw things into a wall. What exactly should I be looking for? I'm tempted to walk into my local hardware store with the drill so I can show staff what I need...

I'd also love youtube channel recommendations for very basic, beginner, DIY information.
