Smooth = Even (took me 20 years to figure this out (after some lessons))

I finally took some lessons (took lessons 20 years ago and started taking them again). A couple of lessons ago, my coach was talking about how to resolve my casting issue and he said to try an “even backswing and swing”. He didn’t say smooth. He didn’t say slow.

Once I kept the pace of my shoulders the same on the backswing and swing (at least that is my “feel”), I was hitting the ball much better.

Then - I saw this Golf Digest video: https://youtu.be/9nIMYfBUY0Y?si=1te5vusKxq6sSlDG.

They said the same thing! If I didn’t have my lesson, I don’t think I would have understood what they meant.

Bottom line - I should have gotten lessons a long time ago.

Fitter recommendations

I’m looking to get new irons. I just want to go through the process but don’t want pressure or any incentive to buy anything. I’m happy to pay for the time (pay a fee for the fitting) as long as I can take my measurements home with me.

I just finished some lessons and feel good about my swing (jinx) and think it’s a good time to try a fitting.

Edit: I’m in Cupertino and am willing to drive 25 miles or so

Where to watch the Korean World Cup match on Wednesday

Hi All. I saw in another post that they watched the Korea vs Mexico match at BJs. Does anyone know if it was a fun viewing event? Are there any other places anyone would recommend to go to watch this Wednesday’s match? It would be fun to watch with a bunch of Koreans.

Connecting two Mac Minis

Hey All. I have a base M2 mini and I just bought a refurbished base M4 mini (delivery will be a few days). I currently use my mini with my Apple Vision Pro. I plan on connecting them with a thunderbolt 4 cable.

According to Claude “You can view and control the second Mac within a window on the first Mac’s display — no extra monitor needed. Built into macOS under System Settings → General → Sharing → Screen Sharing. The Thunderbolt link makes this very fast.”

Has anyone else tried this? Any issues I need to be aware of? I don’t have a heavy workload, but I would like to split my workload across two machines (not sharing the same work task. Just run different software on each. I.e., run the more complex software on the M4).

Anything super useful you discovered with two Mac Minis running that was just better than one?
