I’m not even sure if this is insect related but it reminded me of an ant head that’s been squished or maybe even an earwigs thorax also squished.
Just seeing if anyone else wants a guess haha. I’m located NSW far south coast, it’s about 2mm in length, very small.
(Also wanted to mention I don’t squish ants or earwigs in my spare time, I just noticed it on me not long after doing some chores outside)((added an extra pic of my homegirl Fergie))
Found this fella/lady in a round of box tree and thought it looked a little funny and noticed a massive string (?) protruding out of its lower abdomen.
Also, seemed to be chilling in a little segment of the wood so I hope I didn’t disturb it in the midst of something, was very lethargic and slow but reacted to being lightly touched, left it be and put it to the side under cover.
Located far south coast NSW.
(Sorry for the dogs, they’re loud)
Making sure I keep my relics close to my chest with these two present
This is Fergie, my Urodacus Elongatus or Freddy depending on answers provided
Just curious if anyone knows what this little dude is, stumbled across him going out for wood (south coast NSW) has about 6 legs (I think the front two are at least) and very solid exoskeleton
