Hi everyone,

I am currently taking the eCornell (Online professional education from Cornell University) Six Sigma Certificate program, and my employer is covering the cost.

Until now, I have completes two courses that covers six sigma statistics & tools/methodology. Total six courses to be completed.

The program includes quizzes, assignments, case studies, and a final capstone project to get the certification.

How is this certificate perceived by employers, particularly in manufacturing and quality related roles?

I’ve been working as a Reliability Engineer (Quality Department) of a semiconductor company.

To improve my skills & for long term career growth , I’m considering earning a Six Sigma Green Belt certification.

I have been researching different recognized credentialing bodies for six sigma certification . From what I’ve found, ASQ, CSSC, and IASSC seem to be among the most commonly recommended options.

I am not sure which one to choose.

For those who work in semiconductor industry,

1. Does the certification provider actually matter in the industry? Like ASQ is more preferred than others?

2. Have any of these certifications helped you with promotions, job opportunities, or career advancement?

Hello everyone,

I’m currently dealing with an insurance company in Austria and I have requested to terminate a scheme & withdraw my contribution ( which I have been paying for sometime)

The “department” of the insurance company is asking for photo of front & back of my bank card via email to process this request.

This feels potentially dangerous to me due to security reasons.

Is this normal ? Has anyone encountered this?
