Living abroad as a SMBC

I live in the US and I’ve wanted to leave for as long as I could remember. As a teen I first learned about single moms by choice and it’s always been my first choice as far as kids go. Now I’m not sure I want to have kids at all if I remain in this country.

Has anyone fled the US as a SMBC or became a SMBC after leaving? What’s your experience?

Has annotations affected your ability to reread/read a book?

Are the highlights, underlines, notes, sticky notes, tabs and/or other things too distracting for you to focus on actually reading it? I’m considering starting to annotate and I’m nervous lol.

Ideal age gap between kids?

I think it’d be easiest of course to have like 4/5 years in between so I only have to pay for daycare for one child at a time.

But I was the youngest of 3 and my older sisters were 2 years apart and I was 6 and 8 years younger than them and I always felt left out.

But I know if all of my children have the same age gap it’ll be different.

Aside from parenting, what are your responsibilities as a foster parent?

Do you have to speak to their social worker daily/weekly?
Are you required to show up in court?
What do you as a foster parent have to do that
a regular parent doesn’t have to do?
