I spent hours re-reading my notes and highlighting whole pages only to forget them during exams. I changed how I study and used different study methods in every study session, and my grades shot up. Last semester, I pulled a 3.8 GPA because of the mix of methods that I used when studying.

Here's the full breakdown of the cheat sheet methods I use and how I use them:

• Pomodoro technique. I use 25 minutes of deep focus work and a 5-minute break. I use this twice to help me break down topics and study them easily. Pomodoro helps avoid burnout and keeps the brain fresh for retaining information.

• Active recall. This is just a simple method, but it helps pull up information and builds a stronger memory span. When you are actively recalling what you studied, it turns into long-term memory. I pair it with practice testing by solving past exam papers and quizzing with a timer.

• Spaced repetition. Use the 1-3-7-14 method: review the same lecture or material over expanding gaps of time (day 1, day 3, day 7, up to day 14). This keeps the information from getting deleted from the brain. Moreover, this helps in avoiding cramming, specifically for exams.

• Interleaving. I used to study for long hours for just one subject, leaving the other materials I needed to study untouched. What I do instead is mix up different topics in one study session to help your brain practice switching between different types of problems on the spot.

Mixing these methods made a big difference in my grades. Hope this helps anyone trying to lift their GPA this term!

If you're struggling to finish studying a chapter and you go fully blown out by studying for 8 hours, then you're doing it wrong. I realized that I spent whole day for studying just one chapter.

Until I figured out how I could study in short sessions, I learned not to study for long hours because it will only lead to burnout.

I gather everything I need, such as textbooks, slides, worksheets or notes that my professor provided that I need to study. Then I go through the whole chapter quickly for 45 minutes with a 5-minute break.

What's important is not to memorize everything, but to understand the material. I mostly use Turbo.ai and Gemini to summarize overcomplicated topics in the chapter.

What needs to be focused on are the formulas, key ideas, and definitions. Afterward, try to practice what you learned from reading the chapter by either making practice quizzes or do the blurting method!

Another important tip is to mark the topics you are struggling with and do more questions on them so you can relearn them quickly.

Then there's this one puspin na lumapit sa amin. She got a pet sa mga kaibigan ko. But for some reason, biglang lumapit sa akin and tumalon papunta ko sa lap ko hahaha. She stayed there for a long time and even tried to adjust herself pa sa pag-upo and lumalapit talaga sa akin lalo, ang cute nga sobra 😭

Very nonchalant din siya. Bugbog siya ng mga light and aggressive pets pero walang kibo talaga maski isa. Parang almost the whole time na nakaupo kami don, yung pusa lang inaatupag namin hahaha. She didn't bite us kahit anong kulit na ginawa sa kanya, she even purred sa lap ko😭😭

I feel so guilty pa nong gusto ko na siya umalis sa akin pero need na rin umalis and to order foods. Nilatag ko siya sa upuan. Kaso pagkagawa ko non she stood up and left us na hahaha. But that one is really fun

Papunta na kami sa sasakyan namin that time tapos nakita ko to sa isang sasakyan. Wala lang natawa lang ako kasi ang random hahaha

Pumunta ako sa may kitchen ng boarding house namin para may tignan lang, tapos di ko inexpect nandyan sila naka-tambay ang cute lang 😭 We don't own those cats, nagdecide lang sila na tumira sa area na yan ng walang paalam😭

The next day, umayos na rin tiyan ko after mainuman ng diatabs kaya diretso ako parequest sa bf ko na magtake out ng Greenwich para sa bahay ko na kainin. Ilang months na rin akong hindi nakakain dito sa kanila so I really miss eating them. Gusto ko pa dagdagan order ko kaso nagdidiet kasi ako, next time mas marami na hahahaha

May regular kaming binibilhan ng garlic bread dito kasi 50 lang siya so sulit talaga

Napasobra ako ng init sa air fryer kaya ganyan na yung mukha 😅 Masarap pa rin tsaka crunchy sobra hahahaha

Me and my boyfriend decided to eat at a place here kung saan nagtatayo ng maraming stalls during events. Parking space lang yon normally but it becomes an eating area. Maraming aspins na pumupunta don and tambayan nila para mabigyan ng pagkain

Then those two doggos ang lumapit sa amin ni boyfie ko. Were both dog lovers kaya malapit talaga kahit anong aso sa amin, kaso yung may galis hindi na namin mahawakan dahil nga sa lala ng kondisyon niya. It's making us guilty too kasi pagkain namin puro sweets related so bawal din sila don😭 But I really hope lang may makagamot lang dito sa may galis, naaawa kami super kaso limited din ang kaya namin to help🥹🥹

Nakatambay siya malapit sa amin kahapon nong bumisita kami sa puntod ng papa ko to celebrate wedding anniversary nilang dalawa ng mama ko.

Ang cute niya nga pero di ko mahawakan kasi mama ko papagalitan ako, baka makagat daw😭 Nong paalis na rin kami, sinundan pa kami sa lakad 🥹

Usually kasi kung nagdadate kami, it's either libre niya or 50% yung libre niya sa food ko (pero siya pa rin sasalo ng sarili niyang food). May times na ako na lang bumibili para sa sarili ko if wala siyang pera talaga. We're both studying in college kaya asa pa kami sa magulang, both of us have decent status in life so money is not that a major issue compared to breadwinners or hirap talaga. But on our part, we try our best na hindi humingi palagi so pinagkakasya namin yung certain budget

Eh ngayon graduate na ako (he's irreg so he's still studying) and naka-tyempo lang ng side hustle habang naghahanap ng pinaka-work, I am able to earn a bit more than one thousand weekly kaya nakaka-ipon pa rin ako sa bahay. So at that point, mas kaya ko na rin manglibre

Sakto wala siyang pera that time after our church, pinilit ko talaga mapa-oo siya with the power of puppy eyes. Happy happy naman ako kasi minsanan lang yung ganito na ako *lang* gagastos sa kakainin namin. We still shared sa foods but it's still so much worth it to treat him. I've always been treating my friends and classmates to some foods and drinks pero siya bihira talaga, so this one is really an achievement for me

If ever mabasa mo to, I love you very much. This is just a very small thing sa taong panglilibre at effort mo sa akin 🫶🫶 Ill do better para makahanap ng work ko and be able to help my family and you someday

Nakita lang namin sa sementeryo dito kanina lang. Ang kulit niya nga kasi bumabalik sa amin banda kahit nilalayo na namin. Di na rin hinawakan kahit gusto ko i-try, iniisip na lang namin na makati haha
