Annual tradition / keepsake with my son

I got the idea a few years ago while my boy was doing some colouring to let him go nuts on a pair of shoes.

Every year since I get him to doodle on a pair. It is cool to see his progression and makes for a great keepsake. It’s fun to share the story when folks ask about my shoes too. I tend to wear them hard because I love them. The only retired ones are the superstars because the sole split.

Anyways, I just thought I’d share this with you good dudes. He made these for me today. I was proud he picked the New Balances!

Had to go back to the store for pumpkin after accidentally buying pumpkin pie filling. I wonder how I made that mistake?

Sara’s frosted malt

Anyone know where to get these? I have only seen them at the Departure Bay ferry terminal. Thanks!

Meat Craft

Got a couple batches of burgers going this weekend care of Meat Craft. Big Kahuna and some jalapeño with cheddar. Absolutely delicious. Also worth noting that everyone is super nice when I go in. Check them out if you haven’t.

My 7 year old and I play with wrestling figures a little differently

According to him (and I write it as he said it, so forgive the run on sentence): “Flexy Lexy is mad because someone ate his Taco Bell that he used his last money on, and Razor Ramon is like ’yeah I ate that Taco Bell’ and Bret Hart is scratching his butt saying ’who cares, McDonalds is better’ while Undertaker calls him a hoser“ (Yes, we are Canadian).

Is this your cat?

This lovely and friendly cat has been frequently visiting. No one in my neighbourhood knows who she is. We are near the Party City on the north end. Curious if anyone here knows her. No tags.

Local jeweller specializing in emeralds?

I’m looking for a local jeweller that has a decent selection of emerald pieces (rings/necklaces). Any recommendation? Thanks!
