WEEEE all gotta be honest Ash Ketchum was literally the heart of Pokémon for over 25 years and dropping him right after he finally hit peak status as World Champion feels like a huge missed opportunity. No matter what pokemon does we will never fall in love with a 10-year-old kid from Pallet Town that lost for two litreal decades straight (literally carried like 3 generations ) before finally taking the crown. They didn't even need to write him off—they could have easily kept him as the main guy, made him aim for an even higher power ceiling, and set him off on a fresh, chill journey just exploring hidden corners of the world and taking on legendary-tier trainers.
