Should I go to Nit Patna for nimcet at 800 rank?

I am thinking to get Nit Patna at 800 rank due to the research I did:-

  1. NIT Patna has a massive location advantage as it is located close to IIT Patna. So they can have a shared tech ecosystem unlike isolated nits like NIT Agartala and NIT Meghalaya.

  2. It offers courses with specialization like MCA in AI & IoT or MCA in Data Science & Informatics which is more aligned to industry unlike traditional MCA.

  3. The tech branches are already averaging 12.64 LPA with a 41.37 LPA highest package. Combining that established placement cell with an advanced AI & IoT/ Data Science degree will give a good ROI than traditional MCA.

  4. I did BCA which taught me the basics of data science and theoretical IOT which is of no use. If a traditional MCA is taken we have to spend extra time learning these skills which will require huge multitasking but here we don't have to do much multitasking.

So what do you think? Should I take NIT Patna?

MCA from private or MCA+ MTECH

I was planning to take a drop for nimcet 2027 as I didn't do well in this as I don't like maths. I guessed all the questions of maths, 30 of lr without guess, computer full 20 questions without any guess and english only 3. So i was thinking to take a drop but then i thought that if i do drop+ mca from nit, it will take my 4 years.

So i planned to take admission in some private college which is offering mca for 2 years. In the meantime i am thinking to prepare for GATE exam to do mtech as I like computer more than maths. They both will also take my 4 years but with 2 degrees+more experience and network. As the gate syllabus is similar to what taught in first year in mca, also similar to what is asked in job interview.

So i will take admission in mca. If I get a decent package i do the job. If not then i will do mtech and then job.

Is which one is a good idea? nimcet 4 years ( 1 year drop+3 year degree) or mca(2 year)+ mtech(2 years)
