This number: 09683501820 calls me. First it was male voice offered me to redeem points. He said his name and from BPI Makati. I cut the call then "temporary block" my BPI card, in my mind if the number is not registered then it is possible a scammer. He calls back then he said to give his supervisor to talk to me. This time a woman and offers me freebies like umbrella, jacket etc. My points according to her is worth 5K pesos. I asked, why is not reflecting in my Vybe app? She said it is not reflecting because it is expired but can be claimed. She gives me options then I choose to send it to the nearest BPI branch. She she asks why my card is blocked? Points cannot be redeemed with blocked card. Really? Just a minute ago I blocked my card, so definitely a scammer I am talking to. I said to her, I will call BPI hotline. She hangs up the phone.

After the scammers call. I call BPI fraud department and file a complaint. My card is permanently blocked and request for replacement.

Now my questions: Why they know all my details? Why they know my number? Why they know my complete address? Why they know my card is blocked, when it is only a minute ago I blocked my card? Can they access online, real-time?

If BPI is serious in security and fraud, then they must investigate this.

If this will happen again, I will not use BPI credit card anymore. I have many credit cards in different banks in the past (no naming of the banks) but never experience like this.

Is this possible an inside-job scam?
