We did an entry lake trip (no portaging) last weekend and it went well. We’ve done a lot of trips together, but this was our first with an infant. The opinions on our trip have ranged from “that’s awesome” to “you are reckless.” In any case, the trip went well and we will definitely be back next year.

I am having trouble finding reasonable lodging in the Dolomiti Superski area for February 13-17, 2027. I am noticing that an overwhelming amount of the hotels are already sold out. Am I missing something? Did we pick the worst week ever to go?
