Weight of the World
MAGA slop (found on r/Trump); hopefully the world pushes him down. All the way to hell. From the looks of him, he's already halfway there.

As a Frenchman, I grew up watching old recordings of the triumph at Euro 1984 ( Platini, Tigana, Giresse) and the wonderful 1998 generation with Desailly, Thuram, Zidane, Henry, Blanc etc ... Of course here is the wonderful current generation as well. Why does our women's team have less success and fewer absolute legends. I am not an avid viewer of women's football outside the WWC so I was wondering if you may have some answers.
Out of the USMNT players represented at the WC how many are (in all of football):
-Good (top 100-150 in their position)
-Average (Outside top 150 in their position)
Being from France here are the rankings for some of my players:
Mbappé: Generational
Dembélé: World class
Olisé: Generational
Doué: World class
Cherki: Elite/World class
Maignan: Elite
Upamecano: World class
Saliba: Generational
Digne: Very Good
Zaire-Emery: Very Good
Tchouaméni: Elite
Lacroix: Very Good
Now here are my estimates based on what I have seen of these USMNT players (don't watch MLS so won't comment on those players but they are probably average):
Pulisic: Elite/very good
McKennie: Very Good
Balogun: Very Good
Robinson: Good
Freese (I know he's MLS but I saw his WC): Average
Richards: Good
Reyna: Average
Dest: Good
Pepi: Good
Tillman: Good/Very Good
Curious as to what you guys think. Would you change anything? Again, don't know about the MLS players on the roster, but I feel confident in saying that they all fit in to the 'average' category if they've been there most of their careers.
People have such warped conversations when it comes to Mbappé. In my eyes, he is already a top 30 player all-time. He is definitely lacking in club trophies and PSG winning 2 UCLs does not help (although it is much more complicated than just Mbappé), but can people stop pretending like he is lower all time than Haaland or Harry Kane. He has made 2 WC Finals, has won a WC, all time top scorer in WC overall and in knockouts, is top 5 all time in UCL goals (I know it might be slightly inflated), he carried France to the Nations League, he is a 8x top scorer in domestic Leagues, 2x UCL top scorer, has close to 500 goals at 27. Not to mention he is the only player in history to win several WC golden boots. I understand the trolling/minimizing of Mbappé because of how the past 2 years have gone at club level, but let's try and be a little more honest with ourselves. Maybe it's mostly a Reddit/Twitter problem.

Not really spicy, but Israel needs to be treated like Russia in terms of sanctions and bans from continental and international tournaments. I think it's well known that many people care more about the optics/logistics of genocide rather then the genocide itself. Football must show some moral fibre for one, and ban Israel from FIFA and UEFA competitions. There is a lot of conflict and government oppression in the Middle East, but as football fans that should not blind us to the marked difference of the Palestinian genocide. Football shapes culture, look at Argentina 1978 if you need of proof of that, and I can only hope that those in high offices can positively influence the culture through an indefinite ban of Israel.
Ok, I will concede that this Ballon D'or race is very close. But then I'm seeing some idiots on here trying to compare Mbappé place all time to Kane's. Maybe it's just because people in this sub are just addicted to braindead hot takes that are relevant in the exact moment but career wise and performance wise Mbappé and Kane are on completely different planets outside this season. Mbappé is like top 30 all time, Kane is barely top 100. Some people on here really need to get a grip
Here are a few I remember watching:

My personal list of the greatest national teams in football history. Let me know what you think
The greatest goal celebration of all time was Lilian Thuram's celebration after scoring the winning goal in the 1998 WC semi-finals vs Croatia.
- Greatest individual tournament of all time at Euro 1984
- Scored the winning goal in the 1985 European Cup
- 3x Ballon D'or in a row (and no, Maradona would not be able to claim any of Platini's Ballon D'ors)
- Two WC semis and a 3rd place medal in 1986
Should almost always be considered in the top 10 but often is forgotten
