How do you guys fly in zones that require 2 way comms with AFIS?

Looking for insight. My experience with exploring Norway so far has shown me it has a lot of small airports very close to really cool mountains like the seven sisters. They have a TIZ zone, a loop hole i thought of was "within AFIS operational hours" suggesting i can fly outside of hours but trying to confirm it with them directly just left me on read.

I know you need a license to be able to transmit, and tbh i am interested and its not too expensive, however its my understanding that it can be very country specific, for example in Norway you get a callsign and designation but it will likely not work outside of Norway.

Curious if there is any one with more information on a european license or something similar, outside of asking the local pg club to host my flights for me.

GT2 littlecloud trailing edge brake "cascade" line exposed. How bad is it?

So I had a pretty rocky take off and had the glider snag a few times, so I am assuming this is the result of that. Yellow brake line from the trailing edge has its white core exposed, seems intact? Hope to squeeze in like 4 more flights for the month before i travel back to civilisation, how serious is this?

Edit: thank you gang, i feel better knowing i can finish my flying here :)

Travelling to Mosjoen for work, looking for a Paragliding club.

Hi, I have a Pilot rating and have a good opportunity to work in Mosjoen for a couple months, will be doing hike and fly on Sundays and maybe after work. Wondering if there is an active club in the area that anyone knows about?

What do you do if you can't penetrate on take off?

Today I found the limit and sweet spot for the beach dunes I go to, I fly the GT2 size 22 little cloud (I weigh 76kg). Around noon it was 6m/s with 8 gusts and I could do smooth reverse launches and some soaring.

Later it picked up to around 9m/s with 11 gusts at which point the wind started throwing me around. But just before that I assume it was 7 or 8m/s with much more manageable gusts I would control the wing in reverse and then turn around and I would nearly be kissing the ground while trying to go forward hands up all the way, just could not get close enough to the edge of the dune to get lift. If I were to stand up, the gust would lift me up and drag me back. Eventually while handling the wing the wind would ease off and when i felt the tension ease up Id run to that edge and finally get lift off.

Is this like the limit where I should just pack it up and not risk flying in such a strong wind or could I be doing something wrong?

Bought for pvpve, stayed for pve

I tried pvp in both 0.3 and 0.4 but it felt lacking and most of all, very slow. Once you engage in a pvp fight everything slows down by like x20 and you wait until one of you makes a move and gets caught, the amount of times ive tried to get a flank off and just got shot up. I see from my faction people just sit in the grass with a nasty peak waiting for the tiniest bit of movement and I honestly dont see it as fun at all. And when pvp happens naturally and you try to take someone by surprise, you get a massive red circle in the area to let everyone know including the guy you just shot so he knows to run away despite ever even seeing me.

My background of extraction shooters is pretty much dmz and other BRs, my background of milsim is just RoN. I thought I would enjoy the combination of the two but I actually just prefer CQB in this game with no bag against Ai like I would in RoN, that and coming across random players, helping them out and basically acting like a medic which is far more satisfying than battlefield.

AMA I suppose, and I think I know at least one of the questions is going to be about levelling up so: YBL & Fort Narith, can usually get 2 runs in focusing only on missions, always remain under max weight and stims help with time. The other location that is good is Tiger bay because it has a lot of short missions that take a couple clicks and are usually on the way of other missions. I avoid Sapphire because while its fun to clear out for a change of pace, it is long, and the enemy ai seem to see you through bushes a lot, the villas are annoying to navigate, the golf course is boring and the missions require a lot of back and forth and running huge distances.

I tried the black market and discord servers, the in game lobby too. Reddit is my last attempt at trading I guess. I have a FN atc key and HQ storage key I can part with as well as cash (open to offers). Ive killed the boss so many times im feeling burnt out on fort narith and the missipns wont even respawn.

Mapped info on enemy gear (WIP)

Just cooked this up while waiting my turn playing board games, havent used editing software like this in a loooong time so low effort. Anyway, I like gearing up based on what I'll be facing, but often forget what gear the enemy is running so I made this for myself and decided to share in case anyone else wanted to know. Would be cool to see this info the gzw tac map.

Edit: Only thought about this after creating this, I think the YBL enemies outside main POI had good armor were actually boss and his goons, in fact I am quite certain, so swap yellow with red on YBL or just always come prepared to fight the boss.

Request: Can we get a weapon sling for the backpack slot?

I like running with no back pack but I do miss having my sniper. Would be cool to have a sling to carry the second weapon instead of having to use a backpack.

300 subsonic feels off

I know its one of the weakest rounds in the game with a really low velocity but i find it being reliable only under 20m. Shots miss frequently, and i think the low velocity struggles to exist on the servers speed. Im a bit tired so dunno how else to explain it. An examppe I have is when I shoot someone at 30m I see the bullet land and pink mist but only about a second later the guy will fall and groan, leading shots is almost impossible too. Doesnt happen with any of the other rounds.

Anyone using the subsonics have something similar?

Edit: Also on paper 310m/s within 20m should be near instant and I shouldnt have to lead the shot that much anyway. Now that i think about it that way, I believe something really is off about how the round performs.

I am at a loss guys. GPU crash dump typically while loading but has happened mid game as well.

4090, tried 3 different version of GPU drivers the only thing that works is reinstalling the game, but lately even with that this has become more frequent. Sometimes straight up crashes my gpu and I have to hard reset.

Is there any point in the IV++ and other high pen ammo?

Am i not using these rounds correctly or are they genuinely useless? Just turned enemy ai into swiss chees with 9 IVA+ SR rounds. All medium wounds, no organ damage on a III vest, but I assume youll get very similar results on higher vests, similarly the m995 seems to over pen but I can see the appeal in PVP at least.
