In office tracking at the employee level

I’m not sure if this is widely known or has been shared here before but as we move into RTO4 be aware that the employer can (and in the case of my Agency, has been) monitoring in office compliance at the individual employee level.

There is a Power BI report that is generated monthly with the expected amount of in office network connections and the actual amount of connections. Employees are being pulled into meetings and being asked to explain if the numbers show a variance. This report is provided to the DO level and managers are expected to enforce compliance.

No idea yet what punitive action there will be for first, or repeated infractions.

Editing to add:
- Apparently this is known and has been happening, I took a break from this sub during RTO/WFA fiasco so wasn’t aware.
- This information was shared in hopes that it saves someone from getting disciplined, not to fear monger.

62 Litre North Face Voyager Carry On (Confirmed)

As first reported here: https://www.reddit.com/r/onebag/s/6jcJ1MsN9j, the North Face Base Camp Voyager 62 litre duffle does indeed work as a carry on.

I’ve just come back from 3 weeks in Europe and this was the only bag I brought, no personal item.

I used this bag across 5 different carriers, including Easyjet, Lufthansa, Air Canada, RyanAir and Voltea. I was not asked once to size it, but out of curiosity put it in each of the sizers and it fits every time.

Obviously I didn’t fill it completely full, but at 22 pounds it was about 90% full, leaving some room to “squish”. Full packing list below.

Cube 1:
2 long pants
1 short
1 bathing suit

Cube 2:
3 tees
1 polo
2 button ups
1 sweater

Cube 3:
5 each of boxers/socks/undershirts

Etc:
1 pair of Birks
Toiletries case
Misc items: chargers, adapter, Turtl travel pillow.

Fira to Athinios Early Morning

I have a 6:15 ferry to Naxos in a few weeks, I’m wondering if there are any insights on the best way to get from Fira to the Santorini port in the early morning.

I’m assuming it’s a cab/uber but figured I would ask.

Be well.

Help with a tire choice

2019 Audi Q3 - need new tires and rims.
City driving and a lot of it. I have a heavy foot mostly at speed, I'm not screaming off from a stop. I corner a bit quick. Looking for a balanced setup (road noise/longevity vs performance).

Option 1: 20 inch.

  • 20 x 9 rims.
  • Hankook Ion Evo AS SUV IH01A

Option 2: 19 inch.

  • 19 x 8 rims
  • Pirelli Scorpion AS Plus 3

The price is about the same, the 20s would look better but drive slightly worse and the 19s may need spacers for a better fitment. The 20s are EV tires but from what I have read should be fine. Curious if there is anything I am missing or not thinking of, or advice in general.

Be well.

I’m from Toronto and there’s hotdog carts all over the place, the city is actually expanding the permits to allow more. Why aren’t there any street meat vendors in Ottawa? Is it policy, perceived lack of customers, dead downtown, I’m curious.
