Toxic Director in my team not approving leaves
So, let me give you guys a background. I am a 21 year old woman and just passed out college. I joined 2 months ago in one of the big 4 in the Valuations team at an Analyst level through a referral. Plus I am a fixed term employee for just one month because I plan to do MBA in the future while I am doing my Professional Courses like CFA. So in Nov I have the exam, for which I need 4 days leaves. I asked my partner he said “okay sure” “tell your managers then put it in the system”. So I went to the Director to ask he said “what is your utilisation” “what is your billable” “what work are you doing” “I didn’t see you on the client review” “come back to me with the list of work you have done then we will talk”. Dude I prepared the list and went to talk to him. He was busy and left the office. Apparently I was on of his engagements but I was just give basic work. Barely been 2 months and he is telling me your utilisation is low and etc etc etc. I am entitled 22 leaves a year.
So fyi, I have asked my team members and managers for work here and there. But I don’t get much work as of now. I try to take the initiative but they don’t give a lot of work like the managers because I am new and a fresher or they aren’t bringing much business 💀🙏. It isn’t even our peak season. Btw my managers don’t mind me taking the leave. I haven’t taken any leave yet. And btw got to know from my team members he is the most toxic guy you will encounter here who like to act like a “boss”. God what the fuck man. Btw this guy didn’t even know my name and designation properly let alone my employment status.
TL:DR; Director not approving leave cuz he thinks I don’t do any work.
