Ranting about Americans and names

So basically there’s an American girl in my cohort who insists on being called by Two names , one is a female Irish sort of one and the other is a male one , so for example Caoimhe Sean ( not her real name ) but if someone just calls her Caoimhe she’ll just shout out “ caoimhe sean ” and she does it several times a day in each class / lab and it’s starting to get annoying , since she is also very loud and it’s grating since she has the most American American accent and everyone else is Irish and being respectful of others and she’ll just plough over anyone else trying to talk.

Its like I get it your loud but you don’t have to start borderline shouting in labs for no reason other than you seem to not have an “indoor voice “

Looking for a book

So my mum had been a massive Winnie the Pooh fan for as long as I’ve known her , when I was little so early 2010’s she had a book that was a collection of some of the AA milne stories , but me being a stupid little kid I had coloured all over it and I’d love to find one to get her .

From what I remember it had a gold bookmark ( the sort that’s attached in the book) and it had green leaves on the cover and was a hardback but it wasn’t super wide ,and had a coloured map of the hundred acre wood.

the stories from what I remember was the one with the woozles, and Pooh and piglet in snow .

Any advice for prepping / recommended reading ?

So I’ve been into the idea of forensic pathology since I heard about it when I was about 12-13.

I’m Irish and I’m planning on doing a pre uni science course which will let me do a bachelors in science ( just not medicine ) , so once I’ve done that after four years I’m thinking of applying to med school probably in the UK, and then go into pathology and histopathology.

the pre uni course does general science ( bio, chem, maths and physics ) but also anatomy and physiology.

is there anything I could do to sort of prep/ get a better feel for pathology or just medicine in general ?

Need advice on what to do

So I’ve started playing football - I’m 18 and while I have a good bit of a sports background I haven’t played football ( full time but I’ve kicked a ball and such before ), I had started training with a team for the past few weeks however the coach has advised me to not play in matches ( I haven’t registered anyways ) .

should I stick with the team that are pretty decent but I’m not much of a talker and am a bit awkward or should I move to one of the other local teams that also has teams in the league, and I might get a bit of play time ( I’m not expecting to be brilliant - I just think some play time might help )

advice is much appreciated

Can you change the legs on this desk

I’m looking into getting an Ikea Alex desk with drawers 805.888.88 but most of my furniture is oak with black , however the only oak version of the desk has white legs. would I be able to get different legs for them same model but a different colour , or would they be incompatible.

Is this okay to ship nationally

it’s a bubble wrapped envelope and I’ve wrapped the actual iPod in that cardboard accordion style packing protection thing , it’s only going to be going in a van and even then I don’t think it’s going crazy distances

I’m trying to get back up to scratch with maths.

I’m 18 and haven’t been in school since I was 16 , but I’m planning on doing physics in uni.
I’m starting a pre uni science course in September however I need to get back into studying especially maths , ive been looking at the Aops books ( the introduction ones ) and was thinking of getting bridging the gap to uni maths, as well as reading the Feynman lectures .

First attempt in a while to draw - Optimus prime with pencil and alcohol markers

I used a tutorial for how to draw Optimus and then based the colouring off some photos - I need to work on the shading and details but it’s not that bad

For context I’m 18 and a beginner footballer - I don’t know if this is the right way to do things but I believe it will work, I’m also listening to affirmations for height, iq and some other things as well.

manifesting list

- I’m 5’10

- I have dark blonde hair

- I am physically fit / lean and have good stamina when running

- I wam a top winger and one of the best in the league

- I am a top student and get min. 90% in all my modules

- I will go to a top university to study physics

- I look exactly how I want to

- I am extremely intelligent and have an iq of 140

- I will end up with a career in quant finance and move to London .

i don’t know if this is how these are meant to be written so any advice is welcome .

I’m looking into either doing Quant or just straight physics (theoretical ) - I’m currently 18 and starting a PLC ( similar to a BTec ) in Pre Uni Science , and aiming for trinity college in the theoretical physics department , I’m also aiming to get into one of the Irish IMO / EGMO since I still fit most of the requirements , I’ve also done a good bit of programming in python and C+ , my main issue is I don’t and won’t have a leaving cert ( due to other reasons ) .

I’ve been trying to make a common place notebook mainly for maths and science , but I can’t figure out a way to organise it . Since I don’t know if I should use an index or colour code things , I think I have a bit of decision paralysis since I know what I could do , but I can’t decide on which one .
