I never wanted to be one of these posts, but unfortunately, due to some cat food getting knocked into the turtle pen, the dogs dug a hole to get the food, and now my beloved Darwin has been missing since Wednesday afternoon

He is my Central American wood turtle rescue he is missing a back foot

He is not native to Ga and would not survive winter, but I just hope he makes it back home

I want to believe he is in the little forest strip in the neighbors yard, but it’s been soul crushing to be out of town and helpless

I know sometimes they can make it back, and my family has just gone out and got live animal traps but any extra storys of success would be welcome

Why the photos look ancient idk

But he looks rather pleased after taking a poop as long as him.(he had not gone in a while and it was making me worried )

I just wish he would stop plotting escapes 🙂
