Can Dr. Tufts counter sue for defamation?

Genuine question. Interested in insights from forensics and lawyers. I can’t see anything objectively wrong in her clinical judgement and this being her first year as an attending, I could see it causing significant career damages…no?

BPD patients - I can’t deal. Help.

I find I get irked more easily by BPD behaviors than my colleagues. My mother and sister have BPD, and it’s like my frustration for their behaviors gets triggered and my blood boils. It’s not normal for me at all - I’m normally very calm and collected. Not trying to praise myself, just objectively known for being that way.

I’ve read books and trained in DBT to try to deal. I’ve also explored some psychoanalytic content surrounding this. I can identify processes like projective identification…but nonetheless my heart races and internally I want to lose it…I don’t, but the behaviors irk me deeply for days.

Any advice?

Please be nice 🙏This is a genuine request for help because I don’t think I can avoid difficult people in this line of work and it’s causing me so much undue stress.

Please share *constructive* advice only. Our narratives are not helping us…

I work full time, I make more money currently to support the family, I do at least 90% of pick ups, drop offs, arranging childcare, and solo parenting when he’s at work late (many hours a week). I don’t expect much, honestly not even a thank you. BUT when he then starts nitpicking my parenting approach I lose my patience. I say things like “get off my case” and I expect you to be less rude considering how much I’m doing”. I don’t say it nicely by any means, my frustration shows. He says I’m being a victim/martyr when I say this.

Today our 2 year old said “stop it stop it” in response to our bickering. This has not happened before. I’m still feeling mad and it’s not worth fighting in front of the kids. Something needs to change.

I know I’m contributing to the discord and I want to change what I can control. My husband is working extremely hard right now which will eventually lead to us having more financial security.i also know he nitpicks what im doing more when he’s stressed/working this hard. I am hoping to find ways to not bicker and have more peace.

Please share *constructive* advice only. It doesn’t matter to me who is in the right or who is in the wrong because obviously those narratives just worsen the bickering.
