I was going to buy a brand new game today...

I bought 4 pre-owned games instead.

4 for the price of 2 ($AUD).

Never buying anything that will put a dollar in Sony's pocket again, they've already got enough of my money.

I plan to buy pre-owned and coast on the PS5 Pro for many years to come.

Recommendations for RPGs to pick up appreciated!

Pool flooding underground blanket box

Just had this pool installed, obviously the builder can't control how much it rains, we've had roughly 100mm over the last 3 weeks.

I just noticed the blanket box is full of water, the box doesn't have a concrete bottom, it's gravel than soil.

Is drainage my issue, or something they should have considered when installing?

Tia

EDIT: After pumping it out I'm pretty sure it's slowly filling back up with ground water? I have no idea about this stuff, does that seem possible?

How do I stop worms forming a cult and performing mass dyings in my pool?

Ran the robot yesterday and left it to drain, come back this morning and the pool is totally full of worms. its gonna be 40-50 worms.

To the right of the pool is a grassed area where they're coming from (I guess) I could put a little edge there, but they'd just climb over?

Sorry if it's an obvious question, brand new pool owner.

Do you buy the games with the generic cases?

I don't, I don't understand why anyone would, they're not even much cheaper (if at all?) and surely people who buy physical games actually want the case?

I'd love to order pre-owned from the website, but it's a roll of the dice if it'll have the original case or not.

Secondary question: what the fuck are you blokes doing with your cases that EB has so many games without a case? Are you losing it, throwing it away or destroying it? I don't understand

Is it true "most gamers don't finish games"?

I've recently started listening to various gaming podcasts while commuting, I heard a comment that "most gamers don't finish games" there was no malice in the statement, it wasn't said out of some sense of superiority, it was just a matter of fact statement.

As a person that ONLY finishes games, unless they are actual torture, I find it slightly incomprehensible.

I play 1 game at a time, play the whole story and then move onto the next game. Even if the game is getting tiresome, I have to finish the story. I HAVE to. I know I'll never replay the game, if I give up... Well I'll never know what happens.

I'm led to believe "most" gamers just scatter gun random games whenever and never finish any of them? That cannot be right...

How do you game?

What can I plant down the side here?

Works are almost finished on the backyard reno, few bits and pieces to go, decking and pergola, but I'm now thinking about what to plant in the gap down the side of the house.

It would be nice to have something there which will block the view of the shed (or semi obscure atleast) but not block the path. I'm alao weary that if I plant the wrong thing the roots might become a problem!

Not sure if it makes a difference, but the only other plants currently in the garden is myoporum fine leaf white in the rocks, and star jasmin along the fence line. We do intend to get a larger pot with magnolia for down the right corner of the pool.

The block faces north, so the sun comes up on the right side near the pool and travels across the sky to the left fence in the afternoon, meaning that section down the side only gets a couple of hours sun each day

Thanks in advance

Edit: forgot to mention location, Adelaide hills, we do get some frosty nights during winter if that makes a difference

Third attempt with the woodfire oven

Not that esthetically pleasing, but they tasted pretty good.

* chicken, bacon and onion

* mushroom and cheese

* peperoni and cheese

* biscoff, banana and biscoff crumb

* Nutella, strawberry and marshmallow

I was using the main area of my offset smoker to grill over coals, it was good but wasn't the most convenient thing for after work meals. Moved the offset to the other end of garden and had to pick a gas grill up, went for the family q premium.

Woodfire pizza oven, griddle, offset smoker and now the family Q. Outdoor dining is sorted.

It's coming to that time of year in Australia where it'll be a little chilly for swimming.

I've only had my pool finished for a couple of weeks, I'm looking to "shut it down" for the off-season.

Obviously I don't need to deal with snow or freezing temps etc so maybe I'm over thinking it. What I've done so far:

  1. reduced the pump run times from 8 hours to 4 hours, and doubled the choloronator output from 25% to 50%

  2. emptied the skimmer basket, and the basket on the actual pump

I'm not sure what to do with the heater really. Do I turn it off entirely? Do I turn it off entirely and divert the water? Do I make it run for 30 mins a day? Something else?

Edit: I also have a UV steraliser, I could probably unplug that too?

Any other tips would be appreciated
