Hired an appliance repair company to fix a refrigerator for tenant. They gave an estimate and had to order parts. Parts took much longer than they told me. They sent a technician last week to install the parts and could not fix it. They said one of the parts was defective and they needed to order a new part. They told me 2 to 3 days and now they’re telling me even longer. Tenant has been without a working refrigerator for almost a month, luckily they have been traveling. At this point, I think my best option would be to dispute the charge and move on and buy a new refrigerator. The work was never completed so it is a valid dispute and I have documented communication. Does anybody know how credit card company would view this? Do I need to let them try to finish or can I dispute it?
