New fan from US

So my son is a Man City fan and has gotten me into following the Premier League this year. I'm 60 and typically follow the NFL , NBA and college sports here as well as Track and Field ( kudos to Josh Kerr)
Anyways I picked my NFL team ( Miami Dolphins) when I was 5 because I like the unis., so I figured I do the same with the EPL.
Thus I am now a Hull City fan.
My only other frame of reference is the Housemartin's album from the 80s ( London 0, Hull 4) and that catchy " Happy Hour" tune they had.
Anyways I've ordered a home kit ( back- ordered)
What do I need to know?
I've read the goal this year is not to be relegated?
Go Tigers!
I'll be watching Sat AM here

Should I start a statin?

60 year old male , no family history , well controlled hypertension . Able to drop LDL from 116 to 82 in 6 months since retiring and focusing on improved diet and less stress.
Very active endurance runner.
Other labs TC 144, HDL 53
My family doc checked my Lp ( A) and it was 104 nmol/ L
I was hoping he would order a CAC but he suggested starting on a statin ( rosuvastatin 10mg)
I am reluctant due to muscle pain and weakness concerns related to my endurance activities which are very important to me.
I've proactively started ubiquinol while I try to decide to pull the trigger
I was thinking of stating just 5 mg daily and see what that does to my LDL

Waiting on the book...

After lurking and listening to a few podcasts , I decided to take plunge and give NSA a go.
I've ordered the book and am looking forward to getting into it.
60yo male running consistently for past 12 years after running XC and track in high school.
I peaked in 2019 with a 1:48 half and 48:00 10k. Since then have struggled with a couple of surgeries ( meniscus , shoulder) and a few bouts of Covid that wrecked me for awhile.I am running consistently 4-5 days a week , mostly very easy ( keeping HR < 78% of max) and occasional uptempo run ( fartlek , tempo).
It looks like I need to slow down even more on easy runs . Today I walked every time my hr went > 75% max and felt very easy and sustainable for 50' run.
I'm sure book will get into it but is this slow enough? If I use max HR I'm at 130 at 75%.
If I use HRR I'm at 130 at 65%.
Given my age is it smart to keep ST efforts to only 2x a week and just try to get more days in of easy running ( going from 4-5 d currently to 6d )?
Thanks for any tips. Again I'm sure the book will help

Father's Day Gift

I kept telling my kids ( grown adults) that Freddie was the unsung hero in these playoffs and they followed through

Kudos to the Aho line

I called out the number 1 line a couple of days ago and they responded last night.
I'll never doubt 20 & 37 again.
My apologies and eternal thanks.

What's going on with the Aho line?

Aho, Jarvis , Svech- 90 goals in 84 regular season
Playoffs - 12 goals in 17 games
Tired? Injured? Not strong enough?
Not exactly setting an example and leading the team.
Despite that we are 2 games away. It's a testament to the depth and coaching of this team.

Stanks pure will brought us back

He singled handily changed the momentum with that play. Might be the play of the playoffs IMO

My thoughts Game 1

After thinking about that game, lost because of mental defensive lapses.
That can be cleaned up.
We exposed Hart - he's the worst goalie we have faced in playoffs
Freddie didn't play well but he hasn't had 2 bad games in a row so he's good about tossing that game aside.
Get the # 1 line going

Canes in 7 ( I predict)
