So if anyone was wondering, I've crunched the numbers and come to the following conclusion. 1 credit is about 10 American cents. Besides this putting into perspective why food is say 50 credits, the actual price would be about 5 American dollars. Additionally, assuming Hadrian Sanon gives you exactly enough money to afford the fuel from Tau Ceti, to Alpha Centauri, to Mars, the price in game for 1 gallon of Helium 3 is 32.05 credits, or about $3.20/gal in USD.

Edit; I've forgotten to include my numbers for the price of He3 per gallon. Hadrian gives you about 1000 credits and says that should cover the fuel cost to Mars. She's also indicated you should clear the mission with Tuala so it should include the price of fuel from tau ceti, then to jemison, then to cydonia. My fuel consumption indicator from tau ceti to jemison said 25.49 gallons. From jemison to cydonia fuel consumption said 5.702. The total gallons needed from tc to j to c totals 31.192. Divide 1000 by 31.192 you get 32.0595024365 for the price per gallon. And with the understanding of 1 credit is 10 cents, that roughly translates to $3.20 per gallon.

I play on console and like having access to achievements. I'm also not used to posting here, so I've not really any clue how to tag this so I've marked it creations only and hope that's okay. As the title says I'm looking for dresses to add to the game. I know of the outfit unlocked series and have them bookmarked, but I'm really searching for new dresses for my character to wear. I play on console as a frame of reference. If the mod doesn't exist please consider this a request if you make mods I'm desperate. Thank you all for your time.

I've not seen this talked about yet, but it is a small set of details that makes me feel seen and appreciated. In starfield, queer people just... exist. No plot points to reveal queerness to the audience, no hiding queerness in the world, no limiting queerness to just the player character. You can see it from the start of the game with posters for in universe movies (Two Dates for...), you can see it in Jemison by walking in front of the Enhance! and listening in on the conversation about how the person looks difference (underwent a full transition), similarly you get the experience at the Enhance! on paradiso if you ask about why they have a 2 for 1 price. Barrett had a husband, Sarah had a pretty serious girlfriend at one point, there's Jazz and Neva Mora, there's a poi side mission with free lanes where you look for this woman's wife, there's a mission on Jemison involving some men that were engaged... More than one person on Va'ruun'kai is nonbinary...

It is a world filled with queerness being normalized. And personally, I love that. It may even be why it's one of my favorite games of all time.

I know some are probably going to down vote this or leave mean comments, but largely I love this subreddit too because y'all are more numerous than the bigots. Thank you for reading and thank you for being a space to just love this game.

I'm looking for recommendations for paid creations that are kinda immersive. Like weapons (i have the b520 pistol creation, the lumi creation...), shipbuilder (i like falkland, I'm also using asc deimos, avontech raceyard...), armor (i already have McClarence, >! tgs starborn spacesuit, another one that breaks starborn suits apart, another one that adds faction paints to the default suits!< ), functions (i have useful infirmities, useful mess halls, terrabrew+, useful vending machines...) or maybe some outfits or faction gear (i have craftable constellation outfits, requisition terminals...). For my immersion, I usually entirely good aligned, maybe a diary into gray if I decide to join ryujin >!to stop the development of the mind control tech!<

Edit: the title should say Dream instead of Stream, and I'm embarrassed I didn't catch that before posting. I'm not really sure what to title this. If this is against the rules, I apologize. About a year or so ago I made a fan video for Starfield set to Imagine Dragons' "Children of the Sky" after learning the song was inspired by Starfield (and learning that the song is present on a nasa robot/rover on either Mars or the Moon). I put it together with clips of the game at various moments, so I've tagged it spoilers. I'm rather proud of how it turned out, from an exciting standpoint. Clearly I'm neither Bethesda nor Imagine Dragons so clips from the game belong to Bethesda Game Studios and the music belongs to Imagine Dragons. This is my love letter to the game, featuring mostly vanilla assets, the main mission line, and a bit of romance. (Edit, upon watching I realized there was a modded vehicle present, the HOVER creation of I'm not mistaken, and a full proper accreditation will be added when I get my new controller and check the details for that mod). I hope everyone enjoys it.

Just because I'm curious, and if I've missed a tag let me know but I don't think this is a spoiler discussion... how do you identify yourself and who do you romance? For me I'm transgender and lesbian, and I exclusively romance Sarah.

I just wanted to see something because y'all are really cool as a group, and I just kinda wanna have a fun discussion.

As we know, whoever dies in the first universe is revealed to be the Emissary, keeper Aquillus is the Hunter, the mysterious captain goes by the Trader... and their ships kinda follow along with their place in the universe, what they do in every universe, who they are. For instance the Emissary pilots the Helix, and they were a scientist before becoming starborn, and the helix is a reference to the building blocks of life, DNA. Then the Hunter pilots the Scorpio, in my mind no doubt a reference not to the zodiac sign but to the story of the Scorpion and the Frog, where the scorpion kills the frog despite the fact it would kill the scorpion too.

As discussed in previous posts I've made, for immersion reasons after a couple universes I also went into that. First I went by the Valkyrie (side note vasco actually called me captain Valkyrie and i have video evidence) and kinda named my starborn ship the Chariot. Then as I reconnected to my Scottish roots I changed to A Bhana-ghaisgeach, or in English "the Heroine" (or the Warrior Woman, depending on how you want to translate it) and I don't know what to call the guardian yet. I've chosen this because my personal driving factor is that in every universe I want to save my friends at constellation from the Hunter and guide them naturally to the unity, save the settled systems from corruption and from terrormorphs, stop the pirates that target not merchants and people with money but anyone for any reason, that sort of thing. My place as I see it is to help people.

All of this preamble to ask the question... have you given yourself a starborn name/ title? If so, what have you chosen?

Honestly had planned on leaving the last post as a one off. But this narratively makes so much sense of you followed the previous post's discussions. Quick recap, entered a universe where Sarah died in front of me by the hands of a universal clone and Sarah means a lot to me and my character. Additionally, I've taken the title of A Bhana-ghaisgeach, which is gàidhlig for the Heroine (woman hero), and narrative I've defined my purpose in the multiverse as being to save constellation and protect as many people as I can. I made a memorial to Sarah at the end of the last universe and took a picture (I'll add it later when I have the energy to actually retrieve it) and the immediate next universe was another rare universe, but in this one it was the hunter who killed everyone and i was too late to protect them. Again. Upset that I not only got another rare universe, but also another one without my friends or Sarah. Impressed statistically that I got another rare one (this is universe 19 if it matters. Maybe 20? I've got a mod that numbers the starborn guardian based on unity trips so it may be 20 overall and 19 unity trips). Bewildered that it just so happens to be another universe seemingly in existence to mock my character or challenge her core mission. 10/10 coincidence.

If you've been following along with other posts I've made then this won't shock you. Anyone new, here's some backstory before what bothers me. I decided early on for the sale of immersion and role play to not only design my character to look like me, just you know with access to hrt, and I designed her personality as mine. Basically, this is me in that universe. 1 to 1. My favorite npc, love of my life, is Sarah Morgan. In my first universe and every universe i could I've married her. My first loss, and only, from constellation was Barrett. Once i realized the starborn take titles and names that reflect their place in the multiverse i decided to do the same. At first I went by the Valkyrie but that didn't feel quite right, so i decided to adopt the title of A Bhana-ghaisgeach, the Heroine, the lady hero. I had decided my role in the multiverse was to save constellation and guide them to the unity on their own without giving them the answer, and to protect the people of the settled systems. With the context out of the way, I came upon my third rare universe. I open the library doors... and see Sarah bleeding out holding her side. I'm trying to help her. She's afraid and distrustful. She asks me what was going through my head when i choked the life out of Barrett. Then she slumps over and there is another me. Having killed her and everyone. Talking about cleansing. If i never get this universe again it'll be too soon. 10/10 writing though because she started combat while i had nothing but clothes equipped and i had to sprint to my room in the lodge and delay her so i could get my gear from the unity chest.

I'm coming to realize I'm bad at titles the more I post on reddit.... ANYWAYS I'm looking at this new (to me) creation called TGs Starborn Spacesuit Pack 2025. I feel like it power level wise aligns nicely with currently available upgrades, uses a fair amount of materials to not be as "cheaty" as being free build. It integrates seemingly well with the base game so far. And I like that it allows me to build something that aligns with me. >! Putting this in spoiler just in case i didn't take enough precaution before, but as a Starborn I've made my identity about protecting and helping people, named said identity A Bhana-ghaisgeach which translates to The Heroine in English!< and I like the knight style with the wings, cape, and chest plates. There's some thematic weapons as well. I think the only thing that would make me like it better is if i could collapse everything into 1 piece instead of having to equip the suit, cape, wings, helmet, visor, etc. But i do think it could overall enhance your gameplay if you're interested. (Next sentence edited) I'm leaving a picture of my current armor setup from that mod in the comments.

For further context I do update my mods. The problem is when I load back into the game it says the mods I just updated even an hour ago have been updated. I'm on the Xbox Series S if that helps, and I'm already frustrated by needing to disable mods and close the game to get sound back. Are there solutions to this, or is this something I'm just going to have to deal with playing with mods in general?

I love Sarah Morgan. I love her story, I love that Emily O'Brien was able to sell the survivor's guilt in her character, I love that I naturally align with most decisions she likes (even though we disagree about the Aceles, not eradicating the lazarus plant, and letting Muskgrove go). I'm in love with her voice and her genuine care about... about everything! I usually let her stay in her base outfit because it looks good on her, but on this playthrough I had her put on the Formal UC SYSDEF Uniform and... I'm a sucker for ladies in uniforms like that already but sheesh! If anyone else is a fan of the character and hasn't, I HIGHLY recommend doing it at least once.

I've been thinking about how the shipbuilder works in this game and I kinda wanna see it fleshed out a bit in line the base game. Some things i think would be neat are like if we could start one from scratch and work on it as we go, like buy a transponder first, then buy habs and dockers as we go and it not allowing us to fly it until it had its minimum requirements. That way if you have a ship idea you don't have to either mod the frontier or buy a while new ship to work with. Another think I think would be useful is control over ladder placement, doors, and exact internal variant on the habs. That way if you wanted a workbench in the workshop to be by the window you wouldn't have to buy an empty one.

Assuming I've done this correctly, I should be covered about spoiling stuff accidentally for any new players so I'm going to get into it. I think when you go through the unity and start your next universe, there a hidden mechanic that determines which starborn suit you get. It's very unlikely any mods I'm using have an effect but I'll be sure to check them after this but the reason I'm thinking there is is my last several universes I've entered the next universe wearing the Venerator version of the suit with effects that kinda line up with stuff i struggled with in the last universe. Now i know it isn't some glitch because I've entered with other varieties before, but the past several have been just the one. Unless it's not hidden and it's actually known and I'm just oblivious, or just extreme coincidence?

Like I said in the title, I wish we could reveal our starborn identity during a repeat of the main missions. There's plenty of opportunities where it would make compelling storylines, spots for both a bad reveal and a good reveal, ways to recover from a bad reveal... but I've had multiple universes where I used the starborn guardian with Walter on it and met the Emissary who is in the only other example of that ship and he'll say "I've never seen a ship like that" while being on one. You can use so many hint style dialogue options and they never put the pieces together. Heck, an example of the good reveal I mentioned would be around the time where someone dies in your first universe. You take the Starborn option, come back and with everyone gathered for storytelling, have one of them wonder what we meant when we told Vladimir we needed to move everything. Come clean then with dialogue like "I... I'm actually starborn." "Why didn't you tell us sooner? Why did you lie to us?!" "In my first universe, before i was starborn, one of you died.I didn't want that to happen again but it felt wrong to deprive you all of the journey to get there. So i decided to protect everyone the only way i knew how." Maybe break it into multipart dialogue like with certain others. But that would feel more natural than them never catching on with me being so blatant with it.

I could use some tips for mod organization of creations on Xbox. I really like the Falkland ship mod but it keeps crashing my game and lagging it before crashing. I think it's conflicting with McClarence outfitters mod, but I can't seem to figure out why. It makes landing at Jemison impossible, which sucks because the mod adds such gorgeous modules. I can provide a full mod list if needed, but even general organization tips are helpful.
