What should i prefer tho
I’m a finance student and placements are coming near, but honestly I’m super confused about which field to go into.
I’m kinda interested in finance, but I don’t really have strong technical skills yet like DCF modeling, advanced Excel, financial modeling, etc. I also don’t have a finance internship. One thing I am good at is using AI tools, prompt writing, researching, and figuring things out quickly.
I did an internship which was supposed to be digital marketing, but most of the work ended up being telecalling/sales, and I realized I absolutely don’t want to go into telecalling or hardcore marketing/sales roles.
At the same time, I do enjoy the content creation side of digital marketing — strategy, content ideas, AI content workflows, branding, etc. But seeing the current market and AI automation, it feels super saturated and unstable, so I’m not sure if it’s a safe career path long term.
I’m also open to HR or leadership/management-type roles because I’ve been active in college forums and I’m currently a class representative, so I’m comfortable handling people and responsibilities.
The problem is I genuinely don’t know what field fits me best right now. I feel like I’m stuck between finance, content/digital, HR, and management roles without being fully confident in any one path.
Would really appreciate honest guidance from people who’ve been in similar situations or from recruiters/seniors.
