Is it normal for the ala (nose) to appear wider at 6 weeks post op compared to cast off - 4 weeks post op?

Specifically the ala or alar. Literally became wider and rounder… my nose looked really snatched and slim cast off to about 2 weeks, then natural and slim from then to 4 weeks, but suddenly at 6 weeks my nose (again specifically the alar) became wide and round again.

I initially told the surgeon I wanted to do an alarplasty but he said he will access during surgery to see if I need it or not and after surgery he said no. When the cast came off I was super happy. But now it almost looks like it reverted back to my original round and wide alar… don’t know if it’s temporary from swelling or…

Which is more accurate for face (iPhone camera)?

I read different answers. Some say 2x back camera arms length others say 3x back camera and you have to stand around 2m/6ft or so away.

Facial contouring - high chance of regret?

Apparently my bones are not big but they’re flared laterally cause a wide appearance. I’m so sick of my wide face. I’d say it looks fine irl I guess, but in photos no matter what angle I choose I feel like my face shape nerfs me. I don’t want a smooth oval egg shape though…

I had actually signed the papers to undergo 3 point before. But then backed out last minute. Some days I feel grateful that I did that, other days I wished I had just done it.

Apparently the most accurate way to see how you appear irl is to stand 2m away from your camera and use the 3x zoom, so I did that and my god my face shape, or maybe just the bone structure looks awful. It’s so unnecessarily wide.

My eye distance is 1.6 units and the distance from my ear to my outer corner is 1 units. The cheekbones look huge ngl but in the ct scan not at all. I think my head is just wide but then when I measure my head circumference it’s 54cm.

Will my nose change drastically from week 3 to 6 months?

So I did diced rib and I really loved my results but as expected my nose is going down and I feel so sad about it. I did my nose before and I LOVED it at 2 months but then it completely changed at 4 months so I redid my nose. Ngl im very afraid my nose will change that much again because even though I’m only 1 week apart from the 2 week post op result (which was soooo good), I can tell my nose has lowered quite significantly especially the radix area. I don’t want my nose bridge or radix to go any lower but I’m only at week 3 so😭

I already feel like my nose is a bit low, mostly the radix area but it’s still acceptable. Any lower and it’s not. I’m pretty goal oriented so I WILL undergo the same surgery and get another rib taken out again to get what I want but yk I rather not… I already have 2 rib scars on my body 🙂

I do feel very anxious about this and I’ve been snapping pics everyday

What can I do before liposuction surgery to make recovery easier and less painful?

I have a few months before surgery, and I actually intend to build muscle. For reference, although my BMI is around 19, my body fat percentage is over 30%. I’m skinny but made out of water and fat. I’m not doing liposuction for contouring purposes but for a body fat grafting procedure. The surgeon proposed I use 360 abdominal and 360 thighs so I’m dreading the recovery.

I do think people with a higher muscle mass would have an easier recovery, that’s why I intend to workout. I got zero muscle. But I am worried if I do that I won’t have enough fat for the surgery.

I bought a cushiony toilet cover as I read some people find it extremely painful to sit, I also bought a Shewee just in case I have to stand and pee. I bought pee pads so I don’t make a mess on the bedding. And I think I might buy one of those grabbers (don’t know what the term is but it allows you to pick stuff up without bending).

Anything else I should do or eat or buy prior to surgery to make recovery easier and less painful?

Besides filler and fat, what other methods can make sunken under eyes and nasal base more projected?

Like maybe those collagen boosting shots? I’m not sure what the term is. Or PRP? Any firsthand experiences 🥹🥹

I’m also interested in skin tightening. I would do ultherapy but I’m under 25 so I don’t think it makes sense right now plus I read it could cause scarring. Are there any skin tightening treatments that lift the face (particularly the jowl & cheek) that requires treatment just once to twice a year?

Based on my understanding, if it is marketed as something that lasts 6 months, it means once it is past 6 months, the skin tightening effect doesn’t go away, however the skin becomes prone to natural ageing again? So it’s not as if the skin tightening treatment is temporary but rather the period that it is in full effect?

I really want to get chin filler around 3.5 days before my rhinoplasty. I don’t have a projection issue it’s just that my chin is a bit short from the front so I want to add filler to balance it out. I’m leaving Korea after my rhinoplasty slightly one week post op so definitely no time for chin filler after that :(( will it migrate?? For reference I did do my nose before and I didn’t swell at all besides the mid face region (my lips weren’t swollen)
