Anyone living at 1042 Paisley Rd (Paisley Square)? Looking for honest reviews!

Hey everyone,
My partner and I are looking at apartments in the west end and 1042 Paisley Road (Paisley Square) is currently on our radar. The location by the Costco and Zehrs seems super convenient, but we want the real scoop before we commit.
If you currently live there or lived there recently:
How is the management? Are they responsive to maintenance issues?
What are the biggest cons/annoyances about the building or the area?

Would love to hear your honest thoughts, pros, and cons. Thanks in advance

Recommendation for a trustworthy alignment shop in KW? (Plus any recent promos?)

Hey everyone,
Looking for a solid, trustworthy shop in the Kitchener-Waterloo area to get a 4-wheel alignment done.

I want to make sure I’m going somewhere that won't try to upsell me on unnecessary suspension parts but will actually do a proper job and give me the before/after spec printout.

Also, if you happen to know of any shops running recent promotions or deals right now, please let me know.

Thanks in advance!

Anyone living at Vertikal Apartments (475 King St E)? Looking for honest reviews + safety of area around and the winter commute to Guelph from Downtown Kitchener

Hey everyone,
My partner and I are looking into renting at Vertikal Apartments (the Drewlo building at King and Benton) for an August move-in. The building looks beautiful on paper, but we want to get the real local scoop on what it’s actually like to live on this specific stretch of Downtown Kitchener.
If anyone lives in the building or right nearby, we'd love your perspective on a few things:

  1. Safety & the Neighborhood Vibe: How is the immediate area around King and Benton day-to-day? We’re city folks so we expect standard downtown activity, but do you feel comfortable going for evening walks around the block? How is the building’s security/concierge setup in practice?
  2. Things to Do & Walkability: What are your favorite spots within walking distance? We love checking out local restaurants, cafes, and markets. Is it easy to walk deep into the DTK core or down to Victoria Park from here?
  3. Importantly-Winter Commute by Car to Guelph: I’ll be driving out to Guelph every morning for work. For those who do a similar drive, how painful is it getting out of the downtown core during a winter storm? Did it get salted periodically or still the same as rest of Kitchener?

Really appreciate any insight or honest pros/cons you can share before we sign a lease. Thanks!
