Communism in Nepal - My opinion as a foreigner

(For context I an American (Born in America) w Nepali parents (Nepali-American) so I won't truly have a proper perspective on this compared to an actual Nepali citizen)

Throughout my upbringing, my parents have always glazed the Monarchy of Nepal. Constant conversations of abolishing the president system with the thereafter replacement of the monarchy, long podcasts and conversations (Durga Prasai) which are on constantly, and old memories of how Maoist guerrilla fighters threatened my parents.

Hearing about this constantly has led me to watch documentaries which then fueled my desire for a monarch as well. They all shared the glories and nice days. However, recently I decided to take a closer look, as well as an introduction to socialism and communism after years of being told not to.

This has and IS still changing my entire worldview of what I believe is correct and not. After some research here is what I personally believe:

I believe the root cause for having a system of democracy and a voice from the people is good. I strongly believe in this as well as the obvious overthrow of the monarchy, end feudal inequalities, and establish a secular, federal, and democratic communist republic. They wanted pushes for equality, ending of caste system, redistributing land from wealthy land owners, as well as an expansion for social and economic services. Even better, they called for industrialization and promoting local industries, and restrictions of foreign capital which really does boosts economies (look at literally any powerful country, INDUSTRIALIZATION IS KEY). Ask me, this sounds amazing and here is the thing: it works. It really does and I can't emphasize this ENOUGH.

--> Economically, this is obviously most similar to China (hence the name "MAO"ists), and look at them now. Sure they don't have the same access to free speech, but their people are doing SIGNIFICANTLY better than Nepal. They developed after a century of humiliation by Western Powers and stood up. They did do atrocities like the cultural movement and Tianmannen square for instance, and you shouldn't downplay but this more a governmental issue obviously.

--> Socially, Nepal really could have paired that economic model and have great policies for the people itself in the ways of democracy.

This all sounds pretty nice right? These beliefs (and many more which I probably forgot) appealed to the peasantry class the most, more specifically in the villages where these movements arose. Now, they obviously won and consolidated power.

Here is the tricky part: They consolidated power, but where is the FULL fulfillment of the change they promised?

Sure, they abolished the monarchy (end of feudalism in Nepal), more representation to ethnic minorities and those disempowered by the caste system, and proper welfare expansion such as health insurance, pensions, and localized health facilities.

BUT, they failed to deliver on the true socialist ideals and other ideas. They couldn't even do a proper land reform in which the peasantry and workers who tend the land, get the land. A compromise between this new established government worked with the wealthy landlords, full backtracking on their original promise. While this was happening, corruption scandals came one after another as the group began splitting up into factions creating more internal chaos. And the main one: They failed to industrialize. This is (in my opinion) why so many people hate the Maoists. If they were able to industrialize PROPERLY, Nepal would be in a WAYYY better position then it is right now.

Now for you guys I assume all I have said is common knowledge, but years of misinformation from my parents saying communists are the "devils" in which some cases may be true, the propaganda from the very country I live in didn't even give me a proper case to open my eyes. I mean even the state of Kerala in India (no longer communist as of right now) was doing really well under a communist party, and became of the nicest areas in India to live in as an average citizen, or Vietnam for instance which is THE most fast-growing economy in southeast asia due to communism reforms wanting enhanced industrialization after years of colonial rule from France. In my perspective, I believe a type of socialism really is the way, and that Industrialization is ONE of they keys that unlock great wealth from the many sectors of industry that we should expand upon.

This brings me to my question: If you were able to choose, what type of government would you have? (Communist, Socialist, Democratic-Socialist, Capitalist, Monarchist, etc...) and why?

(feel free to discuss in the comments (maybe change my mind; maybe fuel my ideals) and share your thoughts. I really want to see this country progress, and you as citizens of Nepal have a voice.)

Yo is this cooked?

This is West Coast test btw:

So basically I did the #2 LEQ which was about Religious Tolerance and I talked about the Mughals and Ottomans. So heres the good parts Ig, I first talked about the abolition of Jizaya Tax and the millet system with the religious autonmy you get and some other stuff right. So far so good.. Then for the Ottomans I mention the Devshirme system...yeah.. Basically I talked about how it was nuanced because technically you were converted but unlike the Spanish Inquisition where you get converted and eventually kicked off, I talked about you still are allowed to gain power in things like the bureaucracy. I then also talked about how later on, new rulers like Argunzeb and new causes like Armenian Genocide show how the toleration got reduced later on.. So I think I maybe cooked bc I don't if this is a correct or not. Technically I responded to the prompt but I don't know lol (maybe I get complexity...????)

Would this work or nah... Realistically would I get like a 5/6 or a 4/6 or smth?

(Yes I did context and thesis for reference)
