CRAZY thrift store find!

I can't believe my luck! I actually found a "new" version of one of my childhood lovies at The Salvation Army. This is my special friend Woofie, who I've had for 17 years. He's a TY Classic Plush.

Fun factory sample plushies I own!

Howdy y'all! I figured if any subreddit would appreciate these cuties, it'd be this one. These are two vintage factory sample plushies I own; a Popples bank (which is actually missing the bank, and is instead tightly packed with stuffing!) and a really unique looking Kitty Surprise mama. I absolutely adore these two... Anyone else have something really unique like this?

My well-loved Minidora finally arrived!

A couple weeks ago, I posted about an eBay listing I'd seen and purchased for a "junk" plush toy that everyone seemed to love. Well, gess who finally arrived in the mail today! This little baby is actually in amazing condition, with his only "flaw" being his eyes. Oddly, though, he feels like he has some sort of large plastic box inside him. It's definitely not a button, but something rattles inside him when I shake him. Any guesses on what that could be?

Here he is with his big brother, Doraemon. They look so happy together. 🥹

I made a Minidora so my Doraemon plushie wouldn't be lonely!

This little dude was actually much more difficult to make than I thought it'd be, with all the teeny parts I had to make. He isn't perfect, but I'm pretty happy with how he turned out!

Anyone else get super emotional over visibly well-loved plushies?

I just bought this red Minidora plushie off a seller on eBay tonight (so I don't have him in hand yet), and the main reason I bought him was because he was so visibly worn. The listing referred to him as being "junk", but to me, all I saw was someone's special friend. He might be dirty, and his original eyes might be missing (hence being redrawn with markers), but I think that gives him soul. I think I feel drawn to toys like this because they feel more "real" to me, and I want them to continue experiencing love and care since I know they'll likely be overlooked by people shopping for new plushies. Is anyone else like this?
