I've been banned from shopping at my best store. IC says it's for misusing the store rewards program, and they they were alerted to this by the store. I have simply never done this.
I have emailed trust and safety about this. No response after a week. I happen to know the manager of the store socially, so I was able to ask about this without technically returning to the store. She says she has no idea what's going on, and that the local store certainly didn't initiate this ban against me. She did say that "they've been cracking down on misuse of the rewards program nationwide." I assume I was somehow mistakenly caught up in this "crackdown".
Has anyone ever pursued arbitration to have something like this resolved? Is it even possible?
(No, the cashiers don't ever scan a "store" membership card here. Yes, I'm sure I've never input my personal phone number by mistake. Yes, I'm sure I've always scanned the relevant customer's membership ID when prompted.)
I just got an email from Instacart yesterday, after receiving two earlier warnings, that I am now banned from Sprouts for misusing the customer loyalty program there.
I have never failed to scan a customer's account barcode. I have never applied a customer's order to my personal Sprouts Rewards account.
I believe this is all some sort of strange error. Do I have any recourse here? Has something like this ever happened to anyone else?
Just sharing my attempt to get some information about the threatening "Final Warning" message many of us have received about supposedly committing fraud using the Sprouts Customer Loyalty program.
I have never input my personal Sprouts customer number for any Instacart orders. And I always scan the customer barcode whenever prompted.
I assume IC support was just bs-ing me here, but I thought I'd share with y'all anyway.
(I'm sorry about the screenshot clipping – I hope you can still follow the conservation. None of the clipped messages hide important details.)
I used 1200 points on the "$20 off my next purchase" reward. App deducted my points, as you can see in the "points history" screenshot. Went shopping a few days later (today, 5/29) and it wasn't applied to my bill.
What did I do wrong? Is there a time limit on these rewards? I figured I was safe as long as I shopped again before the end of the month.
