Hi everyone, I just tried to open a Select account and went through their application process. Had to do a likeness and ID check through Mitek, and I got the result back to say it passed. The next minute I get an email from NatWest to say they couldn't open my account because "We need to check your identity when you open a bank account. Unfortunately, we couldn’t do this with the information you gave us."

If that's the case, why did Mitek pass my ID checks? Can I just apply again, and perhaps this time use my passport instead of my driving license as I did this time?

Has this happened to anyone? Would contacting chat help do you think? Thank you!
