Finally finished the book, and I totally change my mind about Elizabeth

In the BBC version, I previously said her and Wickham were so gossipy it was incredibly irritating, but in the book, I find her behaviour much less begetting of someone who delights in dramatics, and more so of someone who is reacting normally to being told of someone's supposed moral failings.

I really do identify with her much more now.

I must say.... The only thing I won't forgive her for, is occasionally giving an allowance to Lydia and Wickham. I also don't really forgive Darcy for endeavoring to help with Wickham's career either :p

Clothing brands like Lacemade?

Hey y'all, after a few of Lacemade's recent drops it seems like they're veering into more simpler designs than the ones I have come to know and love....

So I was just wondering if anyone knows of a similar brands perhaps with cottagecore/ princessy / rococo vibes???

Plzzz halp

What do we think of this dress?

I'm hemming and hawing over loving and not loving it

Thing is it's all my favourite colors: pink purple and sparkly. It has flowers and lace and every good thing, I'm just not sure I'm completely happy

Difference of perception between watching the bbc version as a child vs adult

It's so funny, as a child I thought Darcy was a horrible person and that Elizabeth was completely justified. I thought the title was specifically pertaining to him!

But now that I'm 32... Jesus christ how bitchy Elizabeth was. I understand he made a terrible first impression, but even then it could simply be chalked up to the fact that he merely doesn't enjoy socializing with crowds of people he doesn't know, which I relate to much more :D

But Elizabeth, my god, she talks about him so much for someone who is supposed to abhor him xD And how bitchy she is with Wickham about Darcy. At a certain point I felt like I was watching a pair of primary school children whining about the weird kid who picks his nose in the corner, and do literally nothing else.

I'm not sure if there are many other opinions shared on this as this is my first day joining this sub, but I felt the need to share this to my fellow Pride and Prejudice fans (my friends don't really share my enthusiasm xD)
