My experience with the iQOO 15 16/512 after months of use
I bought this phone on December 2nd. I have the 16GB/512GB variant, and it cost me around ₹80,000 INR.
My daily usage is pretty simple: I scroll a lot, play games, chat, and do a lot of video calls. My average daily screen time is around 13–14 hours, so I feel like I've used this phone enough to give an honest opinion.
The good things ❤️
There are quite a few things I really like about this phone, especially considering what I paid for it.
The phone feels extremely smooth in daily use. Scrolling, animations, switching between apps, etc. are all really good.
For normal usage, the battery is really good. Even with my heavy screen time, it manages to get me through a lot of the day.
This is probably one of the strongest points of the phone. Gaming and heavy apps run really well, and I haven't had any major performance problems.
The camera hardware and photos are actually pretty good. The numbers/specs are impressive and the photo quality is good too.
Overall, I like the software experience. It's smooth and feature-rich, although there are still a few bugs that need to be fixed.
The bad things 😔
This is probably my biggest complaint.
During video calls, the battery drains extremely fast. With around 5 hours of continuous video calling, I can basically go from 100% to 1%.
For a phone with such a large battery, I honestly expected better video-call battery life.
There's also a small but annoying issue with the search bar.
Sometimes when I search for an app, I have to wait around 2 seconds before the app appears. That's not a huge problem, but occasionally, after tapping the app, it simply doesn't open.
I can keep tapping it and nothing happens. It doesn't happen every time—maybe 1 out of 10 times—but it's annoying.
I recently updated the phone, but unfortunately, the issue is still there. 😔
The camera hardware and photo quality are good, but the video quality is just decent.
Considering the camera specifications, I expected better video recording. It's not terrible, but it definitely doesn't feel flagship-level.
I guess this is one of the compromises you have to make with a phone that's primarily focused on gaming/performance.
Overall
After using the phone with 13–14 hours of daily screen time, I still really like it.
The performance, smoothness, battery, photos and overall experience are all very good. My main complaints are the video-call battery drain, the occasional app-launch bug, and mediocre video recording.
For me, the good points definitely outweigh the bad ones. 👍
What do other iQOO 15 users think? Have you experienced the same issues, especially the video-call battery drain and app-launch bug?
There is no optimization on snapchat and instagram, we pay 80k 70k for this quality??? I know it's a gaming phone but you need to understand atleast give a raw performance of camera and unlock the best as possible but you capped at low why, and the other hand oneplus dones very well and oneplus 15 give 0.5x on snapchat and iQOO 15 doesn't have why iQOO shameful
