Neck and facial flare ups

I can’t do this anymore, these flare ups are unbearable. I have been on Dupixent for about 3 years now and have suffered from Eczema since I was a baby. I have tried almost every steroid/ointment under the sun and I used to do light therapy. Dupixent has been great for the eczema from the neck down. Aside from some white spots on my inner thighs and upper back, it has kept me itch free! Then the facial flare ups started and it’s been terrible. I noticed probably a year ago my face would continue to flare up along with my neck. It gets so itchy to the point where I am sore the next morning from how much I’ve itched. A month or 2 ago I got patch testing done where they tested 180 allergens. Not a single one came back as an irritant, I was devastated because I was hoping I could get answers. The doctor then recommended Rinvoq but the side effects don’t seem worth it to me. I would rather get these flare ups than shingles, cold sores, upper respiratory infections. I have been using tacrolimus on my skin when it flares up but I need some holistic recommendations. Has anyone found something that works well for them when you get flare ups? What type of skin care are you using on your face regularly? I am feeling so helpless and I’m truly drained:,(

Fast and Free shorts

Has anyone tried the Fast and Free High-Rise Shorts? I love running shorts that are tight and have pockets so I’m very intrigued. They are also final sale so I need to make sure I get the right size. For reference I’m a 4 but should I size down to a 2?

Dracaena not growing

I have had this Dracaena for about 6 months now and unfortunately only one of the shoots is thriving. I make sure not to over water and it is currently in the original black pot it came in along with the tan pot with a drainage system. The shoot pictured has a node but it has been that way for months and hasn’t grown leaves. The last photo shows a shoot where all the nodes died off:/ is there a way to recover it so it grows new ones? The window its sitting by is north facing and there’s unfortunately not a better spot for it. Also use filtered water as I heard tap water can be too harsh.

Tell me your experience on Rinvoq

Hello I have been on Dupixent for about 2 years now and it’s unfortunately no longer working for me. I’ve been experiencing a lot of facial flare ups, specifically the eyes. My doctor recommended Rinvoq but I am a bit nervous about the side effects. Specifically the upper respiratory infections, cold sores, acne. If you have been on Dupixent and switched to rinvoq, how was that experience been? What are the most common side effects you saw when on Rinvoq? I have never had chicken pox/shingles or cold sores so my doctor said I am less likely to experience those side effects but It’s obviously still unsettling to hear it’s a possiblity.

Dupixent Alternatives?

Hello, F25 here. I have been struggling with eczema since I was born. I have tried every steroid under the sun and also did light therapy for a year or so. I then started dupixent about 2 years ago as it was more convenient. It ended up clearing my eczema on my body, but at the expense of my face. I feel like I have had terrible facial flare ups no matter what I do. I see that it’s a common side effect of Dupixent and have tried Tacrolimus and Zoryve but nothing seems to stick. I feel so defeated as I thought Dupixent would be the thing that gets it under control. I experience rashes, itchiness, and redness in middle of neck, back of neck, eyelids, under eyes, above lip, and cheeks. So pretty much my entire face! I have an appointment with my dermatologist tomorrow but I was just wondering what treatments you guys have switched to if Dupixent didn’t work in the past. Is there anything you’ve found to get the facial flare ups under control? Is there another treatment that’s not steroids or light therapy that doesn’t have aggressive side effects? Any advice is helpful, all I want is to feel in control of my skin:(

Hello all, F24 here. I’ve been with my boyfriend (M25) for about a year and a half now. We met through work about 3 years ago and started becoming romantic when he got transferred back to Michigan where he’s from. I am in Chicago and he lived here for about 1.5 years before moving back home. His experience in Chicago was not the best, he was going through some health problems and overall did not enjoy the city. When we started dating I made it clear from the start that I wouldn’t move there and that he would need to move here. He was open to the idea especially because he lived here before and has friends here.

Our relationship has been nothing but stable, loving, trustworthy, and strong. He shows me so much love and has always given me reassurance. He makes me feel seen and like a little kid. He is patient with my mental health issues, he’s flexible, and we have many things in common. The only obstacle is this distance. We just came back from our first trip in Boston and had a great time. Every time we leave each other my heart hurts and I cry and I tell him I want him to be here. I know that’s not right because it puts more and more pressure on him and he has to almost pick between me and his career.

A little background about his job. He works in the field so he is in a warehouse and manages the frontline. He’s been in this current role for almost 2 years now and he’s moved up in his career. It’s hard for him to leave his role as he has to improve the state of his site and prove he’s ready for a transition. He can’t just start applying to places and get up and leave. That’s what he’s been struggling with, finding something that suits him and he’s scared he will take something here in Chicago and hate it. I know it’s not fair for me to push him because I’m in a role I love and in my home and familiar place. I just want our love to be enough.

We had a conversation 2 nights ago about all this and he’s struggling to see our lives aligning. He wants to be 100% about his decision and he continues to go back and forth. He said said at one point “ it's just been more in-depth thinking about the future and I want you to be in it but when i'm backed into the corner of trying to figure out when I'd be able to move, if I want to, how would it go, the hesitation is prominent”. It’s a big decision for him and I understand it’s overwhelming. Right now his career is so unstable that it’s stressful and this adds another layer of complexity. But there has to be a way we can find a middle ground, right? I’m super wary now of how I approach this and I feel like I’m walking on eggshells. I feel like our relationship can end at any moment and that it’s only a matter of time. Everyone says if you love something you need to fight for it, but what about if you love something then let it go? We are still together and navigating this but it feels unstable. I feel like for the first time I can’t trust that he won’t hurt me.

If anyone has gone through something similar, did you get through it? Do you think we can get through this? Is it ok to take this day by day even if there’s no light at the end of the tunnel? I want honesty but also optimism. I’ve been spiraling and panicking and feel so alone.

Hello everyone, 24F here. I’m currently flying from Chicago to Boston for a weekend trip with my long distance boyfriend. For some background, I’ve been suffering with flight anxiety for 2 years now. I was totally comfortable with it prior and had no issues. Unfortunately I had a scary flight where we had to abort the landing during a storm and something in my brain shifted. I have gone through extensive therapy and treatments for this. I tend to panic days before and leading up to the flight, but once I’m in the air I feel ok. Take off is by far the most terrible part of it all and sends me into a mania. I found some guided mediations that helped me a ton on this take off. I have WiFi throughout my flight so drop any questions/concerns or if you just want to chat. I’m here for you an understand what you’re going through <3
