What a watch! The gold accents, the perfect balance of the dial, and those hands! I really like it with this leather strap as well. I really can't say enough good things about this watch.

I've seen some awesome variants of this watch; particularly of the dial. If you guys have any variants, please post them in the comments!

[Glycine Airman]

The Glycine Airman. An out of this world watch.

In 1965, astronaut Pete Conrad brought his personal Airman aboard Gemini 5, making it one of the very first automatic watches worn in space, and the first true 24‑hour dial to orbit the planet.

This watch was really fun to photograph. I think it looks great up against the deep black background. Feels like a little glimpse into how Pete might have seen it up there.

[Reef Tiger Grand Reef]

My brother bought me this watch as my first serious watch. Before that, I didn't even know the difference between a quartz and a mechanical. It isn't the most expensive watch out there, it doesn't keep time very well, and I've definitely never had anyone identify it on my wrist. That being said, I love this watch and wear it multiple times a week. It's a piece I'll never get rid of.

What was your first watch? Do you still have it? Why does it hold significant meaning to you? Post a picture of your first watch in the comments! I'd love to see them!

[Omega Constellation]

Have you ever seen a 35.5mm case? It could just be my small wrists talking, but I really wish they would bring back these size cases to men's lineups. Believe it or not, there's actually a 33mm version of this watch as well!

I put this beauty on whenever I want to feel like a successful 80s stockbroker. The balance between steel and gold is perfection. But it's these little details that really get me: check out that silk textured dial and gold date window!

What do you guys think about bringing back these case sizes?

[Drive de Cartier "Extra Flat"]

Cleaned up the post body — still getting used to writing about watches. Anyway, here’s my ultra‑thin hand‑wound Cartier that I was able to photograph the other day.
