Looking for a Black Queer Playwright/Reader for feedback for my Experimental Play

Hey everyone,

I’m looking for a reader to give feedback on a new draft of a full-length play I’m working on.

I’m specifically hoping to connect with a Black queer playwright or reader who gets surrealism, non-linear storytelling, and experimental structures.

The play is a psychological, stream-of-consciousness piece that puts the audience directly inside the mind of the protagonist. Because of that, the world doesn’t follow conventional theatrical logic—time loops, reality bleeds, action shifts between past/present/alternate realities, and some characters exist as fully fleshed-out figures while others function as fragmented echoes or psychological constructs.

At its core, the script wrestles with the intersection of race, gender, queerness, and trauma. It isn't a traditional linear drama, and it needs a reader who is willing to meet the text on its own terms rather than trying to flatten it into a standard structure.

I’m mainly looking for notes on execution—things like pacing, sharpening character definition (making the fragments feel distinct from the fully realized characters), and making sure the stream-of-consciousness feel translates clearly on the page. I’d also love any suggestions or brainstorming on additional surrealist imagery, visual motifs, or staging mechanics that could elevate the world even further.

I really want to work with someone who inherently understands the intersectional dynamics at play so we don't have to spend time debating the validity of the premise, but can instead focus on making the draft as sharp and potent as possible.

If you’re interested in reading and giving notes, drop a comment or send me a DM! Thanks!

Soundingboard for finished play

I'm looking for someone willing to read my play and give me some serious feedback. I've been working on it for about a year and I'm at the point where I don't just want it to be good—I want to push it to excellence before I start submitting it. I'm especially looking for someone who enjoys actually brainstorming with a writer, not just pointing out what works or doesn't.

If you think a scene isn't landing, I'd love to hear ideas for how you might rethink it, what could happen instead, new scenes or theatrical devices that could strengthen something, etc. I'm completely open to criticism and major suggestions if they'll make the play better. Basically, I'm looking for someone who wants to dig into the play creatively with me for a bit rather than just give me a list of notes. If that sounds interesting to anyone, I'd really appreciate the help.

Are there any big, muscular trans men out there for a trans woman?

I've never done t4t before even though I've always to. I've just never found a trans guy with big muscles - I love big, muscular guys. I'm tired of cis men's toxicity and want to expand my options. I really hope I can find a geeky, muscular trans guy to date. I don't even care if you like to top or bottom, just please be my type (I just want a loving boyfriend). I hope you're out there because I'm losing hope.

Help plotting out an epistolary novel about a trans girl dealing with abuse

I'm in the early stages of plotting an epistolary novel and I'm struggling to turn my themes into an actual story. It's about a young boy grappling with queerness and an emerging sense of womanhood who writes letters to his cousin, Cherie, only for it to later be revealed that she had already died. The novel is loosely inspired by The Color Purple, but instead focuses on female abuse, spiritual abuse, memory, and the process of acquiring the language to recognize abuse that once felt normal. It also explores questions like whether life is worth living in the face of cruelty, what genuine love actually looks like, and whether faith can survive after religion has been used as a weapon. I feel like I have a strong thematic foundation, but I'm having trouble figuring out the plot. I can use a soundingboard to help me flesh things out and craft each letter.

Looking for Collaborator to help me plot my novel

Hi, I'm currently working on a novel based on my life about a young kid realizing they're a trans woman while dealing with abuse from female family members. The novel is epistolary in nature and reminiscent of "The Color Purple". I'm having trouble plotting out each letter for the novel and need a soundingboard to bounce ideas off of and can suggest ideas. I thank you in advance to whom ever shows interest.
