Impressed by Dairy Queen worker’s knowledge of Founding Fathers…

When my kids were little, I often took them through the Dairy Queen drive thru on summer evenings. One night I was feeling silly so…
Worker: Welcome to West Fulton Dairy Queen. Please order when ready.
Me (old man drawl): Yes, my name is James Madison. I was the fourth president of these United States. Does that entitle me to any discount?
Worker (after a pause): Yes, that entitles you to the Founding Fathers discount.
And they gave me 50 percent off the order! They even manually edited the receipt to reflect the FF discount. I still have it somewhere.

I regret rifling through my dad’s dresser drawers as a kid…

When I was a kid, I went through my dad’s dresser drawers. I regret it. He had some interesting things in there so I kept going deeper. At the bottom I found nude Polaroids of my mother. Which was very disturbing. My parents were extremely conservative schoolteachers. I confessed what I’d found to him. He said they submitted them to a nude calendar (!!!) but got rejected. So mom was okay appearing in a mass produced nude calendar? I barely ever even saw her in a swimsuit. Years later when they were both dead I cleaned out that dresser. The Polaroids were gone. Wonder what happened to them.
