Starting New Handyman lifestyle

Hello fellow handyman's. I'm in the process of heavily looking into starting a handyman business in TN.I have a wide range of variety experience in Electrical Plumbing General House repair far from a master . But like that saying goes jack of all trades master none but a master of none is still better than a master of one 🤣 anyways im looking for some advice and tips when it comes to should I quote per job or by the hour? How much should I charge for basic stuff like a small drywall repair? I do know I am going to test and apply for my llp & lle so I can be legitimate as possible. But thanks everyone for the advice!

The decision at hand

Hello everyone been in the group just kinda lurking at the back of the room 🤣🤣 but now I figured it was time to ask for advice of some father here. ***Long post ahead ***

Here's some background first:

Im a father of 2 crazy wild ass boys who I love to death and would gladly smile in my mug shot for. And I've been engaged to my beautiful fiancee for about 8 years been together for 9 (dont ask why we not married thats a very long story) but unfortunately poor woman has unfortunately been hit with the shit end of the health stick. Were talking multiple surgeries on like 12 different meds and honestly just bad luck. So anyways here's the Question.

Question:

I've been offered a new job in a similar job coming from fiber installer to installing fire and security alarm systems. New job offer comes with $2 more on the hour full benefits & pto, tools provide, eventually a take home vehicle, State license. The cons its about 45-55 minutes away from the house and the potential of not getting time off if need for the fiancee if any major surgeries or health related stuff in the near future. Now my current employer i have no benefits, my hours vary from 28-38 every week and to top it off just got passed up for a lead tech spot that I've should have gotten( been there 2 plus years). Now I will say I've got it made, everyone knows me, i can get that time off if need.for what ever reason this decision has really just bogged me down and dont know why. Any advice or what you would do id greatly be thankful for your insights!

Potential future employer

Hello everyone as you can see in the title im looking at a potential new employer in the fire alarm & Security systems and wanted to see if any of you guys have worked for them. Company is Fleenor Security Systems based out of East TN Knoxville & Johnson city. Id like to know the goods and the bads. Also a little about my self ill be new coming into this industry coming from doing fiber internet installs with some low voltage work (pulling Cat6 and certifing the lines) . I just want to make sure this company will be worth the jump since it'll be a long hall for me every day.
