I am in a very complicated situation. A few weeks ago, my close friend (she's a girl, I'm a girl) asked me out. I was unsure what to say, since I don't feel any attraction towards her and I've never felt any romantic attraction towards anyone, not a crush and not even physically attracted. I'm not sure if I'm aroace since I'm still a teen figuring out my identity.
Anyways, we awkwardly left it at that to the point where I kind of became her girlfriend. That's what she would call me. She would call me that and kiss me and stuff, and it made me uncomfortable but I thought it would be fine because she was happy and I wasn't really losing anything. It just felt weird y'know.
I am incredibly grateful for her friendship but the girlfriend thing has made me feel so awkward, like I'd be enjoying her company and she kisses me and it just feels wrong.
I don't know what to do. I don't want to hurt her feelings and I know telling her now after weeks would put a weird aspect to our relationship that I am just not in the mental capacity to handle right now. I feel like I should just let her do her thing (it's not harming anyone) and just avoid it if it escalates.
