I took the leap and purchased an ultrasonic vinyl record cleaner for my 600+ collection. I was very much ambivalent about what results to expect and the cost was nothing to sneeze at. But I had a 30 day window to try it out. If it didn’t work… well, I hoped it would work. My collection is 50 years old, and then some.
Not to brag, but it over preformed in my opinion. The Beatles, Rubber Soul is an original pressing and after a deep cleaning, it sounded like the day it was purchased at Woolworth’s.
I’ve run through about 60 LP’s now. And rescued them for the next 50 years.
One of the things I truly enjoy about Vinyl is the things I find included in the record sleeve. This liner is from Arlo Guthrie’s “Alice’s Restaurant Massacre”, 1967; an original pressing. As counter culture are Guthrie was, I wonder if his audience was also interested in Don Ho, Frank Sinatra or Dean Martin.
