My MIL passed way and there are about 10 crates of records in her basement that I need to get rid of. At least 4 of the crates are 78's. Is any of this worth selling? I really don't want to sell individual records on ebay or anything like that...do people buy stuff like this in bulk?
I live in Italy and I am quite new to the jazz music. I would like to start buying a few records, possibly online.
The problem is that a lot of the most common ones (like Coltrane and Miles Davis) are mostly available through gray labels like waxtime and jazz images, that should be avoided since they often use digital masters.
Can you suggest some websites where to buy good presses? I am not searching for the most expensive ones, I just would like to have official records.

This 1991 record sounds incredible.. always loved Roy.. and this is how he's meant to be heard. I have to guess this was a present and sat unplayed for 35 years, just waiting for me to find it and drop the needle to let it live!

I bought this when they were opening for mitski on her 2024 tour. I didn't really know too much about the band at the time I had just heard a few songs but I have seen this record on discogs sell for a lot of money. I was wondering how many pressings this might have been limited to? I understand that it may just be scalpers selling it for that much but I was just wondering what it might actually be worth?
Forgot how great this album is. Always a pleasure to listen to. And listening to it the this time, I'm realizing just how well this was mixed. All the instruments are so crisp and the vocals are perfectly placed in the mix. A real treat. Fave song: When I write the book
Bequeathed some records. Saw a live silverfish in one of the boxes. How do I integrate these into my collection without contaminating my home? Leave em in a garbage bag in the garage and bring them in one by one?
I mean I think back the, the compact discs were crappact discs. This guy and you who have watched this need to be on the contrary like me.
The Ballad of Darren /Blur: I of course have heard of Blur and I am mostly familiar with their earlier work (and of course the ubiquitous Song 2) but I have not owned any of their albums until I bought this one. It was on sale for $10 and it was brand new. Just wondering who else has discovered this album. Really love it.
I got this player at a yard sale and the only thing qrong with it was the on/off switch was stuck and ive been trying to figure how to take it apart so i can try to get it unstuck but the only available screws are those ones on top wich are just to help balance, on the bottom of it you can see the bottom of six screws but youd have to take off the top and i cant figure it out.
If anyone can help that be great.
Remember when this came out, listened to it over and over... it is a superb record. Still play this and their next album all the time...

Found this thriller record for 16 dollars today. It’s original and has no visible scratches on the record itself. It also had the original hype sticker inside

Does anyone know anything about this vinyl? The cover seems to have a misprint that says “I Cry Instead” instead of the correct title “I’ll Cry Instead”. I’ve heard of these misprints on the vinyl and the sleeve but while my sleeve seems to be misprinted, my vinyl has the correct title instead of the misprint to match which is more common. Very interested in the lore behind these copies.
Does anyone know why Skid Row Live at the Moscow Music Peace Festival RSD 2026 Not Found On Discog. I ordered this online on the Sunday after RSD and after a few days got refunded as the store did not receive it from the Universal shipment. But a few weeks latter they emailed me and said they received them and oftered a $5 discount on that release. Placed and order for it and some other RecordsI. I got them yesterday and when cataloging my shipment in Discogs couldn't find the Skid Row one. Also it is not on the RSD list anymore. Anyone know why its not on Discog or on the RSD 2026 List?

This morning is the perfect morning to play some Miles Davis! So calm and peaceful. Every song on this album is so amazing and powerful in its own way. This classic album is an album I would recommend to every jazz lover!
Cant get enough of this album. Listening to Spanish Dancer which may just be my favorite song on this album. Amazing mix, Stevie's voice, smooth vibes. Having all the feels listening to this. An oasis for the ears.
I cannot find at all on DiscoGS the version of this press of Goodbye yellow brick road.
It is a trifold, probably a repress of the last 10 years.
