Carolyn McAllister for reading

She gives a lot of TEAS tricks, like "appendix is never the correct answer on the TEAS". Unfortunately her videos are also 7 years old </3 Does anyone know if her TEAS tricks are still relevant?

NursingCAS doesn't accept transcripts sent via Certree

Is anyone else having this problem? I'm banging my head against the wall (figuratively).

El Camino only sends transcripts via Certree now. NursingCAS specifically states that they only accept transcripts sent via Parchment or National Clearinghouse.

A Certree customer service agent told me that it was 100% possible & to just put the NursingCAS email as a recipient. Thank god I double checked this because two NursingCAS customer service agents told me that was COMPLETELY FALSE.

NursingCAS said that the only way to send my transcripts from ElCo is to have the official El Camino registrar send it physically or to a specific email. El Camino will not send my transcript via email because I have to fill out a form. The only way for me to get my transcript sent now is to come in person or send a LETTER with the form.

It's extremely inconvenient for me to come in person but possible. If I wasn't able to come in person I would be completely screwed. I cannot believe El Camino's incompetence in switching from the established transcript companies to whatever the fuck Certree is without ensuring that Certree is widely accepted.

How much time should I give myself between taking the test and submitting my application?

My nursing school application is Sept. 7 & I just finished my pre-reqs. I was planning to take the TEAS August 30 to give myself maximum time to study. Is that too close to the application deadline? I figured since they say it takes 4 business days to process the exam and get your official results it would be okay but I know it's cutting it close

Nora Cooks cake disaster

Hi seasoned bakers! I am in desperate need of diagnosis and direction. My non-vegan friend enthusiastically agreed to bake the Nora Cooks best chocolate cake with me. Despite following the recipe to a T & using $11 worth of Guittard cocoa powder the frosting was just gross & the cake was like tar. I attached a photo of the cake before it was unceremoniously scraped into the trash.
