im a black girl and huge ari fan but it feels odd to me that ari went from having soul in her voice, trap, hiphop, rnb influences, have an all black fg, sang in front of patti labelle, aretha franklins funeral, the obamas, mariah carey, surrounded by black performers in rule the world mv and etc. and then was able to just dip out of all of it.
No, im not saying she should still be doing this and it would be weird for a 30 year old white woman to be so involved in black culture when shes not black. but in an interview she said she wasnt able to tell more was more because she wanted to be her less and less, meaning she wanted to hide, so she was able to cosplay a black women and feel loved by the black community during her darkest times

honestly this whole thing is fucked up and everyone knows it whether your an ari fan or not. in eternal sunshine it seems there was a slight crossover between her ex husband and ethan and her exes current gf or gf at the time. ari is getting more hate than ethan which is very wrong imo but im sure she knew about it and when she very vaguely addressed this in the zach sang interview for ES, she mentioned the tabloids targeting or twisting womens words. Ari, no. Thats not what this is. also if she didnt have her whole situation, i feel like her team wouldve said more publicly that she didnt cheat on her partner and neither did ethan, i saw one post about it that was barely talked about
TW: ED, her body and etc:
at first i thought people were just exaggerating the situation because she is short, always been skinny and pretty small chested so lowcut tops will show her sternum but once tour started i realized completely that this isnt just a case of being skinny. this is insane. the comments can get excessive imo to the point wheres its not productive or helpful its just rude and hurtful but it does need to be talked about. looking at her recent posts all i can see is her sternum, which she continually shows which i dont think is a coincidence and how little fat there is on her face. it shocks me and feels deeply disturbing and i have never experienced what its like to have an ed, so i cant imagine what its like for others. BUT, we have to remember, ari has been through A LOT these past couple years
not counting:
macs passing, engagement with pete, the manchester bombing, her depression from 2018-2019, because those were years ago, im talking about now
- her nonna passed, VERY IMPORTANT to her life and every ari fan knows this
- her divorce from dalton, and the alleged complications in their marriage i believe started in 2022 or 2023 which is when she started to get visibly thinner (this makes me so sad, not saying its his fault but the stress couldve affected her)
- breakup from ethan, lets not even get into this mess
-tour starting and album releasing could possibly contribute in some way
- the pressure from us fans due ot her change in looks, not even weight, just her aesthetic and the hate from affair (a lil well deserved but it was a lot for her and not enough for ethan)
we also need to stop comparing ari to her swt era or tun era, bc that was her unhealthiest era then lets be honest, if were doing comparisons, lets do 2020 to now, or even wicked filming time or press era to now, drastic difference, this actually shows the true difference of what is happening here

edit: i think the reason fans are missing aris old style is because aris old style and new style are pretty different and the "transition" period was during wicked of where her style changed but we didnt really get to see her style change bc she wasnt posting often and she was filming.
examples of style transitions:
