This is the greatest shit I've played in a long time.

This is just gonna be a rant of me glazing this work of art. I don't care. I love it. I laughed, cried, I got bricked scared shitless, and I loved every horrible, funny, and amazing choice I made and just ran with.

The Gameplay wasnt really a factor for me since it is a visual novel more than it is a game, but everything else makes up for it.

First off, Nichole Goodnight and Jonathan Sims are amazing voice actors. It wasn't always a 10/10 Oscar worthy with every character each of them played, But that fucking RANGE alone is. From The Damsel to The Beast, and from The Narrator to The Cold, every character was distinct and different, even when you know it's the same actor.

Second, what the hell do you mean ALL THE ART WAS DONE BY 1 WOMAN (Abby Howard)?! Every design for the princess is just as unique and distinctive as her vnoices. The soundtrack sings for itself. This is the only other game I've played where I've never turned on Spotify because the soundtrack was THAT GOOD.

The writing was just off the charts. This game legit holds a mirror to your face and makes you think about yourself. I actively wanna change for the better after experiencing this masterpiece.

The ending? Oh, God, the ending (or one of the endings)... when i had to fulfill my promise to the narrator, and do what I believe had to be done... in the words of Pedro Pascal, "I cried through the entire thing, it made me want to be a better man."

And the best part of all of this? IT WAS ON SALE FOR $10!!!

Can Plastic Man Solo his matchup spread? (My take)

I'm not bringing up Mr. Fantastic because that matchup is garbage. Also I didn't bother expanding on Bobobos abilities because he's a living anime shitpost. That's his power set.

Here's the text on slide 15:

"I would kill this world and birth a new universe." -Merged I-No

"If I-No transcends the concept of time, she could become the creator of the world" -Referencing I-Nos power if she Merged with Happy Chaos, which did end up happening

"The Backyard. A higher dimensional world that decides this world's laws" -Idk where this is from exactly I just know it's in-game somewhere

"When I-No was detached from the Backyard, she was bestowed with irregular powers that could prevent the collapse of the Backyard, making her an all-powerful entity." -I believe that's from the official website for the game.

Heres the Text on slide 16:

Sol: "Two worlds. In other worlds, the past in which you lived, and the present. Two timelines. By reasserting one of them, the possibility of the other disappears."

I-No: "You're a vagabond, just like me... No future. No past. To be honest, I don't even know what you'd call us."

Why are the comics so much worse than the show and Movie?

I watched the Movie recently and afterwards decided to check out the comics, and they're not as good as either the show or the movie. Not to say they're bad or unreadable as there is some genuinely great moments and plot points, but those moments are sandwiched between incredibly mid writing. Well, Mid compared to the show and movie, at least.

What's ayour favorite minor detail from any of the animations?

My favorite is the fact that the Void blocked out the sun purely for Aura. Mind you, he didn't even know Superboy Primes weaknesses or even his name at this point, meaning he did this purely for the love of it

My take on my Top 10 Favorite Matchups

A bunch more Honorable Mentions because I genuinely like talking about my favorite Matchups:

David Martinez vs Absolute Batman (Cyberpunk Edgerunners vs DCs Absolute Universe): Genuinely a top 3 MU for me, but it's not here because Absolute Batman's story isn't finished yet

Light vs Columbo: It's genuinely an interesting Matchup, but the template i used is more focused on comparing physical stats as opposed to intelligence, which is the entire focus of this MU. It's also way too big of a stomp in Columbos favor tbh

Adam vs Asura (Record of Ragnarok vs Asuras Wrath): I know this is Adams best matchup, but Honestly? Adam vs Adam is Just Funnier. Also I love both characters too much to see them fight to the death

Father vs Father (C:KND vs Fullmetal Alchemist): Apparently nobody likes this except me. Fuck y'all

Father vs Big Mom (C;KND vs One Piece): I love this one, but One Piece Scaling has always been all over the place with Downplayers saying top tiers are only island level, and Glazers saying Planetary is a low ball. Ignore the fact that i believe in Moon level One Piece. Also my Lawyer has informed me that I'm not allowed to call the track name "Domestic Violence"

Mr. Terrific vs Mr. Fantastic (DC vs Marvel): This genuinely would've been top 5 If I knew more about Terrific beyond the movies and cartoons.

Ant-Man (Scott Lang) vs Plastic Man (Marvel vs DC): This ones grown on me, but I only know MCU Scott Lang, so...

Kingpin vs Penguin (Marvel vs DC): This is definitely better than Bane vs Kingpin, but the issue is purely the template, as I genuinely just dont have enough room to cover their Armies and Allies in detail

Gohan vs Invincible (Dragon Ball Z vs ...): I used to like this Matchup a lot more, but Invincible fans have become so unbelievably insufferable these days that its tainted my opinion on any and every matchup regarding Mark. The Matchup itself is still pretty good, though. Side Rant:"We don't do stomp fights, so we'll probably only use Cell Saga Gohan" Acting like they're not trying to preemptively justify pulling the most egregious scaling possible to get Mark past Solar System level just to stand a modicum of a chance

Mark vs Steven (Invincible vs Steven Universe): Same reason as listed above, but also I've covered it before and SU fans hated my opinions because I prefer consistency

Annie vs Reze (AoT vs Chainsaw Man): I actually like this beyond just "reze win lol." Unfortunately, Bakureze ruined any chance of this happening ever. Oh well, we got Oregon scaling now, bitches

Eren vs Kaneki (AoT vs Tokyo Ghoul): Only reason it's not up here is cause I didn't finish TG manga.

Goku vs Sonic (Dragon Ball vs Sega): Probably one of the most refreshing matchups I've seen in a long time. Good connections, great vibes, excellent fight potential... unfortunately I can't give my opinion because both sides will flame me regardless

Does Megaton genuinely have no wincon against Magneto?

There's gotta be something, right? I mean I've only seen the Bayverse movies, the 1986 movie, and the Death Battles, so I don't know if other series like Transformers Prime or other continuities have them resisting magnetism in any way, but like... Is there REALLY nothing?

u/SelectTheory6292 — 4 months ago

Where was this stated, if at all?

This could be a huge Kashimo upscale if true, but if not he's a Ryu victim

I've been trying to find the source for this, and have come up with nothing but vagueposts about it.

Weakest character that can survive this hypothetical New York?

Scenario: The Character will start in the middle of times square wearing a Spurs jersey. Only goal is to escape the city in the middle of the crossfire between NYC citizens going extreme diff with the SCP Foundations worst anomalies

The many, many, many, many, (So incredibly many) many, many, many, many, many, (So incredibly many) many, many, many, many Ls of Homelander

John Homelander, fictions greatest L Taker, and his many MANY Ls. I believe this qualifies as a megapost as this is every L of Homelander were celebrating.

That being said, here's how we're doing this: We're going counter clockwise starting from the top left of each slide, listing each Character and giving either a feat or reasons why they beat Homelander.

First let's go over Homelanders scaling: Homelander consistently gets into the Large Town-Small city level ranges of power and durability, while his speed should be In the Hypersonic+ range. Now, you could get him into the Large City to possibly mountain level range with highball statements, if you squint you could argue Relativistic speed, and there is a country level outlier... but after that finale? You'd be hard-pressed to convince me this guy could even survive a high-end nuke.

SLIDE 1

He-Man (Masters of the Universe): Guy has pushed moons casually.

Batman (DC): Is Batman

Super Scott (Hero inside): One shot a city level threat and survived being hit with the power of 100 of his own punches

Chara (Undertale): Should be faster (outsped Meteors and Timeline erasure), can attack the soul, and could reset the timeline until she wins (though honestly it probably wouldn't even come down to that)

Master Chief (Halo): The cooler John. Anti-matter weaponry, better BIQ, better speed, better bitches, and WAY more fighting experience.

Sans (Undertale): Soul attacks, Teleportation, Telekinesis, and upscales Charas speed.

Aquaman (Super Friends): Upscales town level threats, and is billions of times faster than even Homelanders high ends

Gamma Jack (Incredibles): Upscales Hypershock who's mountain level, and should upscale Elastigirl who kept up with Mr. Incredible, who dodged Lasers point blank. His ability also hard counters compound V as he can control Radiation.

Static (DC/Dakotaverse): Played Tug of war with Superboy and Is BARE MINIMUM lightning speed. Also has Better Hax and Theme Song.

SLIDE 2 - Superman clones

Omni-man (Invincible): There's a whole episode on this.

Sentry (Marvel Cinematic Universe): Comparable to Thor who can survive Country-Continental level heat from a star, and should massively upscale MCU Spider-Man who dodged lightning

Injustice Superman (DC Elseworld): Threatened to destroy Apokolips in his fight with Darkseid, and flew to Apokolips in less than a few hours

Hancock (...): Flew to the moon and fragmented it to a continental yield within only a few hours.

Superboy (DC): Even if Superboy was hypothetically only equal to 1% of the power of Superman, that's still closer to Superman than Homelander, Omni-man or Hancock are at.

Supergirl (CW): Surprisingly she actually has similar Durability Scaling to Homelander... unfortunately for Homelander, she's somewhat relative to Flash in speed, who has FTL+ scaling by that point

Gladiator (Marvel): Dude fought Hyperion in Nanoseconds and contained a blast that would've wiped out half the solar system

Tighten (Megamind): Dude has all the powers of Metro Man

Plutonian (Irredeemable): Can no sell star level attacks and easily outspeed radio waves. This is way before his final form comes out to play

Man, these Superman clones are whooping his ass, would be a shame if-

SLIDE 3 - Starman Edition

Superman (Henry Cavill/DCEU): Upscales Planet destroying weaponry like the World engine and mother Boxes

Superman (Tom Welling/Smallville): Pushed away a planet that was colliding with earth

Superman (Jack Quaid/MAWS): Split the Clouds to an island level yield, and scales to Supergirl who pushed Brainiacs ship into the sun in less than a few minutes

Superman (Tyler Hoechlin/CW): Stopped 2 realities from colliding, and then one-shot the woman who was causing it

Superman (David Corenswet/DCU): Casual Light timer and Upscales Blue Beetles Scarab that can blow up planets

Superman (Christopher Reeve): Flew around the earth at Relativistic speed with enough force to change the planets momentum and send it back in time

Superman (Danny Dark/Super Friends): No sold attacks that are stated to wipe out planets and flew to planets in distant Galaxies within days

Superman (George Reeves): destroyed a Meteor that was 6 miles wide, putting him into the small country level ranges. (This is unironically the weakest version of Superman, and he still mops the floor with the entire Seven)

Superman (Brandon Routh): Lifted an island onto space at Hypersonic speeds (I know this is technically the same Superman as Christopher Reeve, but im doing everything in my power not to include Dean Cain)

SLIDE 4 - Real Heroes

Wolverine (Marvel Comics): Tags lightspeed opponents and his claws could pierce Hulk.

Captain America (MCU): Relative in speed to Spider-Man, has the power to damage vibranium, and nothing Homelander does can damage the shield. You bring up the country lasers, I give Cap Mjolnir.

Powdered Toast Man (Ren amd Stimpy): destroyed a quarter of the earth. (Fun fact: with the exception of Dr. Strange, This dude one shots everyone on this slide)

Mr. Incredible (Incredibles): Dodged Lasers point blank and Upscales Hypershock, whos punches are equal to magnitude 6 earthquakes (mountain level)

All Might (My Hero Academia): Even early into the series, the dude casually changed the weather with a singe punch. I'm pretty sure Small Might in the Mech suit can beat Homelander.

Captain Man (Henry Danger): Homelander is only implied to tank a low yield nuke. Captain Man ate 3 bombs that are all equal to nuclear warheads, and was not bothered at all. Combine that with mind erasing weaponry, and youve got a Homelander who actually cares about people. Captain Man can also weirdly bypass the laws of physics sometimes.

Dr. Strange (Marvel Comics): Watch Dr. Strange Vs Dr Fate. I don't think I need to spell this out.

Captain America (MCU Sam Wilson): Vibranium go brrrrr

Deku (My Hero Academia): Scales to All Might. Side note: This is probably the first character on here who would actually show Homelander mercy despite everything he's done.

SLIDE 5

The Mask (Dark Horse Comics): fought Lobo. Lobo isn't on here, but I feel like he wouldn't even take a contract to kill Homelander because itd hurt his dignity.

Sonic (SEGA): Even the horrendously downplayed Mario vs Sonic version of the Blue Blur mops Homelander.

Kazuya Mishima (Tekken): Tanked a 3 megaton laser and beat the crap out of his son who can fly into orbit. Also is somehow a better Father.

Meliodas (Seven Deadly Sins): Can fight with Escanor who no sold an attack from Galand thay cut the tops off mountains that were miles away. This is LONG before he fought the Demon King.

Tomura Shigaraki (My Hero Academia): Decay. Just... Decay.

Izuru Kamukura (Dangonronpa): I don't actually know much about Izuru, but he actually matches Homelander in power, and has so many Hax that I can't be bothered to read them all. Someone tell me how we got here.

Yujiro Hanma (Baki): Better speed, better skill, better AP, and isn't a pussy.

Markiplier (A Date/Heist/In Space with Markiplier/Iron Lung): Guy has access to infinite lives and a wormhole that can warp reality. Yep. The funny fnaf guy that I'm watching while making this post. Someone tell me how we got here.

Vlad Plasmius (Danny Phantom): Even if Homelander *could* hurt him, Plasmius being a ghost means he could just possess him

SLIDE 6 - Joestar Edition (sorta)

Gappy (Jojolion): Dura-Neg options plus Lightspeed scaling = Dead Homelander

Johnny Joestar (Steel Ball Run): Weirdly enough, the same reasoning as Gappy

Jolyne Kujo (Stone Ocean): Outspeeds and is stronger and more versatile.

Giorno Giovanna (Golden Wind): You know, as much as I wanna just say "GER go Brrrrr!" I Don't even think Giorno needs it.

Josuke Higashikata (Diamond is Unbreakable): same reasoning as Jolyne

Robin (Teen Titans): Dude beat the crap out of all of the other titans, who would all solo Homelander

Jotaro Kujo (Stardust Crusaders): Wins for the same reasons he beats Yuta.

Joseph Joestar (Battle Tendency): Faster and can stop Homelanders heart with Hamon

Jonathan Joestar (Phantom Blood): Same reason as Joseph.

SLIDE 7 - Bizarre Villains edition

Mort (Madagascar): Beat every Mort in the multiverse and is immortal. How... I... I think I'm losing it, guys, gals and non-binary pals

Scrat (Ice Age): Can react to things while flying faster than light, has toon force level durability, and can time travel? What... What the fuck is this?

Funny Valentine (Steel Ball Run): Love train, Dura-neg, BFR, and a better Presidential Campaign

Tooru (Jojolion): Wonder of U is just that Busted. "CAUSE YOURE ALWAYS THERE TO LIFT ME UP-"

Enrico Pucci (Stone Ocean): Pick your fate, John Homelander! Will you A. Get your head chopped off at the speed of infinite, B. Get Turned inside out, or C. Get your memories literally stolen.

Diavolo (Golden Wind): Diavolo Kills Homelander only to get hit with an Anvil because God thought itd be funny. This is canon now.

Yoshikage Kira (Diamond is Unbreakable): Sheer Heart Attack has no weakness (he's also faster and Killer Queens 1st bomb negates durability)

Kars (Battle Tendency): Faster and can stop Homelanders heart with Hamon or chop him into pieces. Could also Adapt.

Dio (Jojo's Bizarre Adventure): Wins for the same reasons he beats Yuta-Oh wait I already made that Joke (10 Megaton eye beams go brrrrr)

SLIDE 8

The Powerpuff Girls: This fights a meme at this point. Just send Buttercup to make his death quick and merciful.

Stewie (Family Guy): Faster with Time travel Hax. Losing to an actual Baby. There is no better Joke here.

Mordred/Saber of Red (Fate): I don't watch Fate. I don't know anything about Fate. I'm not going on the Vswiki or googling her feats or abilities. I'm just trusting in Fate scaling. I want someone tell me how much this decision has payed off.

Eric Cartman (South Park): He shoved Disneyland... up his ass. He's also Relativistic I guess. I'm sane, everyone... I promise...

Senator Armstrong (Metal Gear Rising): If I had a nickel for every politician who could beat Homelander, I'd have 2 nickels, which isn't a lot, but it's weird that it happened twice

Peter Griffin (Family Guy): "This is worse than the time I beat Homelander because of toon force." If you want a real reason, he can die and become a ghost that can possess people. I'm tired, boss...

Satoru Gojo (Jujutsu Kaisen): No way to bypass Infinity, and zero defense against Purple or Void

Gamma 2 (Dragon Ball Super: Superhero): to put it in perspective, Homelander is closer in power to Pre-Serum Captain America than he is to Gamma 2.

Megatron (Transformers): Statstomps and outhaxes to an unimaginable degree. Only thing worse would be to give Homelander over to Soundwave.

SLIDE 9

Makima (Chainsaw Man): Just watch the Death Battle. One Bang is probably enough.

Ghost Rider (Marvel): You know, this is the one time where no amount of bad writing is saving Homelander is saving him from the penance stare

Freedom (Monument Mythos): A statue isn't that powerful-"Sword bypasses durability. Oh, they're also Hypersonic+." I'm getting a drink.

Adam (Hazbin Hotel): FTL speed along with at least Mountain level AP. Figures the only a time I want Homelander to win, he doesn't.

Sportacus (Lazy Town): He hit an apple to the moon at 20% the speed of light. The apple was unscathed, and Sportacus took a bite out of it. Ref, I'm calling bullshit

Ed, Eddie n' Eddy: Ed took a bite out of the sun like it was a potato chip. **He took. A bite. Out of the sun.** The voices are getting louder

Steve (Minecraft Gameplay): The guy can easily bench press the moon.

Gine (Dragon Ball): At bare minimum she should have a power level of 500, which would massively upscale her off of Roshis moon busting feat. Heaven forbid we include Ozaru

Bakugo (My Hero Academia): We all saw Bakugo vs Reze.

SLIDE 10

Enchantress (Shovel Knight): Better stats, better hax, better pizza, better battle IQ.

Raiden Shogun (Genshin Impact): Mountain level at least with Lightning to light speed, and a Dura-Neg

Tetsuo (Akira): "You wanna know what your head exploding feels like? This" -Tetsuo, probably

Hugo Kupka (Final Fantasy): Okay, I'll admit I've never played Final Fantasy, but apparently this guy has Planet crushing power.

Dr. Manhattan (DC/Watchmen): "You wanna know what your whole body exploding feels like? This." -Dr. Manhattan, probably

Surge the Tenrec (Sonic): Apparently slightly damaging Metal Sonic makes you more powerful than DC heralds. Thanks, Vs Wiki.

Malum Caedo (Warhammer): Black hole Bombs go Brr-Wait a fucking second-

Adam (Lab Rats): Lifted an island and tagged his sister who can run around the planet in seconds. Welcome to sitcom scaling, everyone...

Kinzo Ushiromiya (Umeniko): I'm gonna do the same thing as Mordred and put my faith solely into these fans and not into research.

SLIDE 11

The D-Day Knight (Monument Mythos): Unlike Homelander, this guy has actually survived Nukes, and is implied to be able to fight Planetary threats

Poseidon (Record of Ragnarok): Better City level scaling, and probably better speed lands him the win. I'm not happy about it, though

Sephiroth (Final Fantasy): "Hey, Homelander, wanna feel a sun falling on top of you?"

Gideon Gordon Graves (Scott Pilgrim): Should upscale the Vegan guy who cratered the moon, and even if he doesn't, he can easily take the fight to the subspace and take advantage of Homelanders negative emotions.

Sigma (Megaman): Upscales Duo and The General, making him MFTL and Planetary+. He's also got the right grindset

Stitch (Lilo & Stitch): Galaxy level durability and a brain that out thinks anything Homelander can possibly do.

Sol Badguy (Guilty Gear): Idk if he's gotten stronger since the death battle between him and Ragna came out, but even in that battle he's far more powerful than Homelander

Copy X (Megaman): If he's anything like X, then this is a bigger stomp than the D-Day knight

Destroyman (No more Heroes): Hes Dwarf Star Level and FTL. On the plus side, at least he'll inherit the presidential campaign

SLIDE 12

Lex Luthor (DC): "Ultraman, kick him in the balls." -Lex, probably

Danny Sexbang (Ninjasexparty): "WAIT, THESE FUCKERS ARE BLOWING UP COUNTRIES, CONTINENTS AND STARS... WITH HIP THRUSTS!?!?! WHAT IS THIS?!" -Me after diving into this ridiculous scaling

Red Keeper (Go! Go! Loser Ranger!): Apparently this fight is actually close with Homelander having better Power, but Red Keeper having better Speed and Abilities. I'm on the side of Red Keeper given that he's more than likely a better fighter

Starscream (Transformers): Flew across Galaxies in hours and can take hits from Megatron

Monkey D Luffy (One Piece): (Unless you're a One Piece downplayer) Luffy should be on the same level of power as Whitebeard who can casually destroy continents and was easily evading, blocking, and even eating lightspeed attacks

Vox (Hazbin Hotel): Can move through Power lines at lightning speeds (Mach 0.5 obviously) and Powered out an entire city just by getting pissed off

Infinite (Sonic): Unless Homelander has a thwomp in his back pocket, nothing is stopping infinite from disintegrating him

Muzan (Demon Slayer): Homelander unironically has wincons... it's so sad (not really) that he's just a fucking idiot.

Kamen Rider Gavv (Kamen Rider): Alright, going 3 for 3 on doing Zero research and then hoping this dude is more powerful than Homelander

SLIDE 13 - INSANITYS FINALE!

King Julian (Madagascar): Scales to Mort

Jasper (Steven Universe): easily survived a crashing mountain sized ship, and has Hundreds to thousands of years of experience

Captain Hero (Drawn Together): Threw a planet into a sun. **He threw a planet into a sun**. I've never heard of this mf and you're telling me he beats **Omni-man?!**

Scott Cawthon (Fnaf World): Something Something Universal-Multiversal Scott. I've stopped asking how we got here. I'm just enjoying the destination.

Yamcha (Dragon Ball): Should be superior to the Version of Krillin that hurt Frieza. The voices are fading

Saitama (One Punch Man): Get Homelander past the mosquito first, damn

Blast (One Punch Man): Like All Might, but on steroids

Tatsumaki (One Punch Man): "Do you know what a meteor looks like when it hits a sniveling moron? ***Would you like to?***"

Spider-Man (Marvel Comics): Ah, back where it all started, I believe. I remember the good old days when This was debatable and when I wasn't going insane. Good times. Anyway, FTL+ reactions with spider sense and the power to KO rhino who's city level means Spider-Man is flooring John faster than he could come up with a quip.

If youve read this far, thank you. I appreciate that you read through my rambling about offing John Homelander in at least 122 different ways. I'll be outside if any of you need me.
