It’s been BONE DRY but got lucky with one! CenTX
I have a few ideas, but I’m curious what type y’all feel this falls into. Base is slightly beveled, but much more pronounced on one face than the other. Love this Texas caramel
Found this super cool Montell, I have not found anything like this material before. It is a grayish silver and is almost sparkly in the sun. Areas where it has been dinged up in the creek are white and grainy. Any ideas on what this stone could be? Regardless, this is one of my best finds to date and I feel so lucky to have saved it.
I have now accumulated a few frames worth of brokes, and it’s getting really hard to choose which pieces to remove to make room for others in my top frame. Happy hunting everyone!
This point type has been eluding me for a while, and this thing is SHARP! One little nick on the base but a perfect beveled tip makes up for it!
Scored two beautiful points today!
Central TX
This piece has all of the re-sharpening done on one face, with no re-sharpening on the other. Very flat on one side, while extremely convex on the other. Beautiful flaking scars, and some outrepasse flaking as well. CenTX
Perty Perd!!
Always thankful for the rain! Found my biggest Montell to date, not exactly sure what my little stemmed point is, but it has an insane bevel to it. One of my best outings in quite a long time. - CenTX
Little bro got his first good point!! I originally assumed Pedernales, but it doesn’t quite fit the type. Very curious to hear what the experts think, I’ve also considered Martindale and Montell. I’ll put a couple pics in the comments
