Vegan formula alternative

Hi, all. My baby is 9.5 months old. I turned vegan our breastfeeding journey at the six month mark. We are starting the weaning off process. Our baby loves solids. We are down to 3-4 feeds a day. I am trying to fully stop breastfeeding as I need to be away for a week right after baby turns one. Are there any good formula alternatives that are vegan and still meet all the nutritional needs of the baby? We are in India, so availability locally would matter a lit for the option to be sustainable. Also, family wants to transition them to cow milk - any suggestions on what nutritional alternatives can help a 1 yo baby meet their requirements without being overtly dependent on cow’s milk? Thanks

Nannies - boundaries around food

We are in india and have nannies coming at different shifts. Ive seen they eat A LOT. When they were joining, we agreed to offer food so that they come fresh and not tired from their homes, and can fully focus on baby care while at home. Initially hesitant, they have moved towards feeling entitled. They eat 3-4x of what i eat - and i’m not exaggerating (I’m a breastfeeding mom so eat considerably). They eat so much that my cook is frustrated despite being compensated well. They pick and choose, so some rice / roti always go waste. And to top it up, they waste 30-45 mins 3 times a day eating and slowly ruminating. While a lot of people will accuse
me of not setting the right boundaries, my kids are in their care and as much as possible, i would like to maintain healthy relationship with their caregivers. What practical tips have you found useful when nannies are consistently pushing boundaries and taking facilities for granted? They are welcome to share meals but in a more civil way - right now they seem to be using my house to save on their groceries

Kids friendly peaceful places

Hello all, we are a family with young kids and are looking for weekend outing options that are not exhausting. Here is what we are looking for:

- not loud but engaging enough for a toddler
- hygienic (where our infant can freely crawl)
- safe from traffic and injuries
- ideally no pets or stray animals
- no long queues
- in bangalore

We are ok to carry our own food. I know I’m asking a lot but weve tried most of the common places such as museums, parks, restaurants and come back exhausted.

Kids are indoors entire week while we work so staying home does not seem lucrative. I’m open to exploring ideas at home too if someone can inspire us - we stay in a gated community (I am highly introvert and prefer to be with my close family rather than chatter around in the society premises).

Turned vegan but kids are fed milk

I educated myself on cruelties of dairy and fish indistry and turned fully vegan a few weeks back. Elders in the family consider milk as an essential and keep feeding it to kids. Any practical ways to break the myth that not feeding milk will make them under nourished? What alternatives can i offer?
